An other request about Group moderation notification
The free-to-join, open groups first submissions are moderated, but the moderation requests are only visible from the group page, not in the global 'My groups'.
It should be like the 'apply to join' group's 'pending requests' which are visible in several places.

This means I have regularly check the page to find out... and email arlets are too global.

There should be admin email alerts for this kind of information.

Enable ALL advance search operators for groups (and community library)

It seems to only work for user Libraries, some work in the community library and none in groups
    eg:
    groups.diigo.com/group/tools/search?what=tag:(google)%20-(buzz)
    diigo.com/search?adSScope=community&what=tag:google+%20-(buzz)

Also, If I search from Advanced Search page :
I get results tag:(google)%20-(buzz) in my library
but if I switch to the community library by clicking on the tab, it becomes google%20buzz

I'd like to view the group without my submissions

    Thanks Graham

Here'a an other request, for group admin UI:

    12) Under 'Manage members', add a link to each users submissions.
For now there's only a link to the profile, there's no way to get to the submissions (unless manually)
To my opinion, member submissions are important to see. (for example to check for spam)
eg: the bookmarks/topic count could become a link to the submissions (?)

    13) Sticky Posts -> Keep a message on top

An idea about sticky notes: Remember selected group

When many highlights+sticky notes are required, it can be annoying to select the group each time. Once a group is selected, it would be nice if it was remembered as default for the page in question, or as general options in the profile.

I suggest you create a group for your class and post notes to that group, so all us non related people won't see them.

I - at last - clean up some pilling requests I didn't want to ban.
I approved them and then remove them.
    This means:
    1 - approve + remember name
    2 - remove membership
3 - search persons submitted links to delete them

Really wish there was a 'deny' button, would be so much simpler.

Diigolet 4.0b14 not presenting highlight where cufón is used - 15 views

Cufon can neither be selected nor copied, so I don't think Diigo can do much about that (it's not a very accessible font system)
  • yc c

Didn't find any long cufon text there, only the orange sub-headings, through I found a longer example here: http://www.thesilverempire.com/ (sub-heading)
When I triple click it selects without the 1st word, but with the 1st word of the next paragraph !?? 0_O

Checked for sIFR, can copy, but triple selects the line... The only time I've ever used this was to put a couple foreign characters, so I never noticed.

Thanks for highlighting this fact... copy is very important (specially educational stuff) - If I use a font renderer, I' mustn't forget to check this in the future!

    See Terms of Service
It's generally about the same thing everywhere:

    They do their best.

but accidents can happen and they're not going to ruine themselves in being sued.
and you have better chances if you have a pro account.

I think that about sums it up, no?

    Totally understand. =)
with all these new startups, competition is tough and many cool services disappear.
I think Diigo has managed to get over most of it, they don't want to disappear. But I read that it's not that easy if your not one of the big big ones.

    > I just wanted to understand, technically, wether diigo is keeping copies of my highlights, or only stores references to webpages.
Me too, I wish they'd share a bit more technical information on how data is stored and managed.

    SEARCH IF BOOKMARKED :
When I view a bookmark meta page, how can I know if I've already bookmarked that page?
I know this subject has been posted but I can't find the old post (can't narrow down search results after tags)
For a bookmarking tool, this is an important feature, so I'd like to know if it's in the to do list.
    Is it ?

    DOES NOT SHOW UP:
Just now I was looking at the meta page of Mockingbird
I know that service, I remember bookmarking it, so I wanted to check.
I searched 'Mockingbird' in my library and it didn't come up
So I clicked the community tab, and there it was!

So I re-bookmarked, it still didn't turn up under 'Mockingbird' search results in my library.
I finally managed to see it using tags.

How come it shows in community and not my library?

Just saw this now, very good points and I'd like to highlight what Wade said:
    > Re: localization; we need to get language filter done first,
so you will only be shown stuff in your languageS <--SSS!!!

The 'S' is EXTREMELY important, there are more and more multi lingual people. I find it frustrating when you can only see one side of things and need to go thought settings each time to see the other side, like if someone didn't want any culture mix or something. I've seen several Japanese sites do this... It should be a progress, not the opposite. At least if there was a way to ignore that language setting, that's what I would choose.

This to say: Please don't forget to let users choose multiple languages. <--Many! on a language learning site I use, users complain that 3 languages is too little, and I agree.

In case this problem is still on, I had a browser extension that hide the 'More' menu by the bookmarks. (It added inline CSS display:none to all class 'contextMenu' )

About bulk editing (not sure this has been mentioned lately) :
I was wondering as there's an 'Add tag' to selected bookmarks, that it would be nice to also have a 'remove tag' ?
