"Comment est né le hashtag #5jvelotafjupe ?  Sandrine Gbaguidi : J'en ai eu l'idée en avril 2019 après avoir regardé une vidéo de Brut sur Twitter qui donnait la parole à une créatrice de vêtements adaptés aux femmes qui font du vélo. J'ai alors remarqué qu'il était plutôt rare de voir des femmes à vélo habillées de manière féminine, hors période estivale, dans Paris. Ce constat m'a interpellé et je l'ai transformé en un challenge sous forme de hashtag, pour encourager les femmes cyclistes à oser porter la jupe par tous les temps. J'ai obtenu de nombreux retours d'expériences témoignant des contraintes des femmes à « rider » en totale féminité pendant leur semaine de travail. Pourquoi avoir choisi d'associer la jupe et le vélo ?   J'ai choisi la jupe parce que j'adore pédaler en jupe, c'est très confortable. Et il s'avère que c'est un symbole fort de la libération de la femme. Il ne devrait pas y avoir d'interdit vestimentaire sous couvert d'une peur illégitime mais compréhensible liée au harcèlement de rue. Quant au vélo, j'adore la liberté qu'il me procure et le plaisir qu'il m'offre de redécouvrir Paris en surface, et non dans un tunnel de métro sombre et austère. Lorsqu'on a la chance d'être en bonne santé et de savoir pédaler, pourquoi s'en priver ? Surtout qu'on contribue ainsi à rendre la ville plus respirable et qu'on pratique une activité sportive sans s'en rendre vraiment compte.
