    Study finds that HRT is associated with a 35% reduction in relative risk of colorectal cancer in postmenopausal women.  Even use within the previous 5 years was associated with reduced risk.  This benefit is lost at 5 years..

    Alzheimer's model finds that amyloid-beta supresses vitamin D receptor.  This study found that vitamin D therapy protected neurons by up regulating vitamin D receptors.  This prevented cytotoxicity and cell death.

    First do no harm.  That is the underlying code of medicine.  At least what it should be.  Study finds increased autism rates in mothers using SSRI during pregnancy.  Though the rates are small as the study is so clear to point out.  The increased incidence is quite significant--0.7% to 1.5%.

    In men <45, a declining Testosterone level is associated with an increasing incidence of Metabolic syndrome.  This association was independent of age.  Testosterone was positively associated with HDL and inversely associated with BMI, waist circumference, Triglycerides, Trigylceride:HDL cholesterols, and glucose.
