Environment
* Diigolet 4.0b14
* Safari 4.0.3 in Mac OS X 10.6.x
Highlighting problem in Chrome 4 - 109 views

If the issue is what I think: it's not specific to Chrome, you'll find that some types of content can not be highlighted.
Example: at http://planet.hackingcongress.org/ try to draw a single highlight comprising all of:
* the heading Sunlight Labs
* the subheading Adobe is Bad for Open Government
* the text and images that follow, down to and including XML/JSON/whatever file.
Andy, where do you see the issue? What URL?
Highlighting problem in Chrome 4 | Diigo Groups - 0 views

Highlight drawn using Diigolet 4.0b14 in Chromium 4.0.229.0 (30489) on Mac OS X 10.6.x. As I drew the highlight, the button on the toolbar of Diigolet remained normal. So: the bug (maybe in the V8 JavaScript engine used by Chromium and by Google Chrome) (maybe not in the JavaScript of Diigolet) does not occur in all circumstances.

Bug
Not limited to Diigolet or Maxthon.
I have the same problem with the bookmarklet at http://www.faviki.com/pages/bookmarklet/ in Chromium and Google Chrome on Mac OS X 10.6.x, and in Maxthon 3.0.1.2 on Windows XP.
Daniel, please, could you report the bug to Maxthon developers? Thanks.
In the meantime re http://go.maxthon.com/web/mx3/changelog/ I might test with a more recent version.

I'm ceasing Diigo bookmarking and annotation activities until date/time-related bugs such as this, and nearby http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/1009904 are fixed. I can't work with a disorderly library.
4.1.0.3 versus 4.1.0.5 for Firefox on Windows: Not a valid install package, error -207 - 10 views

After reading I added 4.1.0.5 to Firefox 3.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.x and Firefox in Ubuntu.
Now at http://www.diigo.com/tools?client=ff there's 4.1.0.3 which will not add to Firefox 3.5.3 on Windows XP. Quote:

Can you describe in greater detail the environment in which annotations are lost?
> add comments (in the comments box) at the end of an article
Do you mean, the Diigo comment box at the foot of Diigo Meta?
Or a non-Diigo comment box within the underlying page? -
Diigo bookmarks and annotations are URL-specific
As
http://skepticblog.org/2009/10/13/capitalism-a-propaganda-story
http://skepticblog.org/2009/10/13/capitalism-a-propaganda-story/#comment-14080 and
http://skepticblog.org/2009/10/13/capitalism-a-propaganda-story/#comment-14095
are separate URLs, so you end up with separate bookmarks and separated annotations:
http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fskepticblog.org%2F2009%2F10%2F13%2Fcapitalism-a-propaganda-story?tab=comment&uname=bakari45
http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fskepticblog.org%2F2009%2F10%2F13%2Fcapitalism-a-propaganda-story%2F%23comment-14080?tab=comment&uname=bakari45

Hints
Before using Diigo, observe the URL in the toolbar of your browser.
If you suspect that a shorter URL will present identical or near-identical content, shorten the URL and load that view of the content.
Before making annotations, use the history part of the meta view of the page to see whether other users have bookmarked the page. Example:
http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fskepticblog.org%2F2009%2F02%2F22%2Foilchange-rant?tab=people&gname=viewtabs
- and if the history is suspiciously empty, wonder whether other readers are bookmarking alternative URLs for the content.
Follow the lead from Diigo Meta to Other bookmarks from the site … to see whether other readers have boookmarked alternative URLs for the same content.
Note however that the Community library may be not up-to-date;
http://www.diigo.com/community/site/skepticblog.org
currently shows none of your three bookmarks of
Skepticblog » Capitalism-A Propaganda Story

For that issue I have created a separate topic,
Community library is inconsistent/outdated
Search our topics - 14 views
-
> Why diigo forum search box doesn't allow us to search in the full body topic
Text in the body of a topic is indexed, but not immediately after the text is posted. http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/585885#19 point 2 explains.
Example: in this post I include the word
lemonade
then http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/search?what=lemonade might not find the topic immediately, but it will do after a while.

Post to Diigo: example JavaScript modified to include the date of addition - 16 views

The JavaScript in the paste, based on the standard Post to Diigo, includes the following tags: 2009 2009-10 2009-10-25 unread Tagging with year, month and date at time of bookmarking is a workaround to a recent issue Library out of order! - I can't find things! For each bookmark, my library shows the domain.
I don't need the domain at the library level;
if I want more from the domain, I'll go
library --> meta --> other bookmarks from the site
In my library, there is no way to see the URL of a bookmark.
This is a problem. - ...2 more comments...

Observation
When I filter my library to view bookmarks from a site, for example
http://www.diigo.com/user/grahamperrin?dm=simple&domain=identi.ca
then something like the URL appears for each bookmark
however use of ellipses
…
(to indicate the parts of the URL that are not shown)
is inconsistent.
Refined suggestion (examples)
Where
identi.ca/12724787
is an abbreviated representation of
http://identi.ca/conversation/12724787
then a better representation should be
identi.ca/…12724787
Where
identi.ca/...12255417
is an abbreviated representation of
http://identi.ca/conversation/12255417#notice-12255743
then a better representation should be
identi.ca/… 12255417#…12255743
Rationale
It's increasingly important to see what's before and after the
#
part of a URL.
-
http://www.diigo.com/user/grahamperrin?dm=advanced&domain=identi.ca
(the advanced display mode; the pro edit (professional) mode)
should not abbreviate URLs.
The professional view should allow me to view URLs, unabbreviated.
