Personally, I have never encountered any such problem, at worst an occasional loss of a bookmark.

Maybe your name was misplaced into the black list of spammers?
You say they gave you no reason, I hope they gave you at least some excuses?

I know Diigo's trying hard to get rid of spammers (same goes for self promotion in groups-you get banned!), which I admire, not much SB's try as hard.
This is important to me, spam lowers the quality of the database, the search results...

Before Diigo existed, I used a service called Looklater which does not exist anymore.

It had a nice function that enabled to bookmark hyperlinks:

You either clicked on each link or selected a portion of a page containing the links you wanted, and only the links were highlight.
When bookmarking, you had one space to set tags to the hole bunch. (Though it didn't have a 'fetch page titles' option so the links were saved with the link text. I thought it was a bit of a problem but it did save the text/paragraph around the link, in a special area made for that, instead.)


I used that service only for that feature (with it's automatic 'export to delicious' setting).

I think it's disappeared. I miss it too, it was useful to get a quick glance on someone's profile - I used it to spot spammers requesting to join my group.

Yes absolutely! Research: We can get statistics about one bookmark, so it would be nice to get it for users too.
I'm not using Diigo for educational purposes but if I did, I would like to see students stats.

When I do a 'Community Library Search for webcam'
I see bookmarks tagged 'webcam',
but when click on one of the 'webcam' tag I get no result, zero, nada!!

I don't quit get it:
Why are the private groups listed in the repository but not on the profile page of the owner?
Also why is the creator/owner's name visible in the repository and not the profile?

I noticed on most profiles I tried to send a messages, I get:
"Sorry, you are not allowed to send message to this user."
Where can you set that options ?

Group and list seem still completely separated. There's no way to batch communicate bookmarks between them, only one by one.

I created a list, and I now find out it should have been a group... How could I batch add them to a group?
( And vice et versa. )
But even if I do it one by one I can't see if the groups it has been added to. In the bookmark library it's written below and it's also indicated in the group menu by "(shared)" - In the list, there's nothing.

Maybe because there isn't any limit?

I think the ideal would be to either create lists for each group that they can subscribe by feed or view as webslide. Or, if they are also using diigo, create private groups and have them join in.

In the group page, hover over your avatar to bring up a box with "View XXX content in this group", or you click on your name inside these comment boxes (like my name here above)

Personally I prefer to avoid space and use ' - ' or ' _ ' as each service renders them differently (%20 or +) and it could create problem when exporting bookmarks with the tags

Ah! but you have to have the toolbar... which means you have to install it on all the computers you use and many compagies don't let you do that.

Diigo should also consider PDF support & annotation, more and more services offer that feature.
