If you are using the toolbar, wheneve you bookmark or highlight, you should get a message in the upper left corner of your screen as to whether the submission is successful. What messages do you see?

Just for the heck of it I tried to upgrade using the FF Ad-ons list and it worked fine. Seems like there's only a problem when updating through the automatic system that runs when FF is started up....
I can't get the drop-down list of matching tags to appear at all, or even the pull-down list of all my tags. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.8 under Windows XP.
