Here're the steps: 1. Add a sticky not to a page. Type some text. 2. Hover over the highlighted text so the sticky note pops up. 3. Click on the "Edit" link to edit the note. 4. The Sticky note switches into the edit mode showing the previously entered text. 5. After a 1-2 second delay the text disappears while the note stays in the edit mode.
Tested on several different pages with the same result. Me think that's a bug as I can't think of a reason to make it a feature. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.3 on WinXP Pro SP2 with all updates/patches up to date.
I too am encountering this error using Firefox 2.0.0.2 on a Mac. When will this issue be corrected?
Thanks, HighTechDad

I noticed that there was a Maintenance notice. However the problem still persists and I cannot use this service. Does anyone know of any other FireFox scripts that may cause conflicts with this service? I was preparing to make a presentation to a client and now I may be forced to try a different service unless someone can provide an explanation/answer/workaround for this.
Thanks in advance.

The maintenance notice is totally separate from this particular issue.
Sorry guys, this bug should have already been fixed by the new toolbar we're working on, but it is taking us a little longer to release to public since we're building a few more features - hopefully not too long ( in the next 1-2 days or so.... The new toolbar that we're working on will include video / flash clipping support, plus more :-)
Should this problem (mentioned here) is causing some problem for you and you need an immediate solution, please email us at info @ diigo dot com - we can send you the latest alpha toolbar that should solve this. Also, love to get your feedback on the video clipping portion and few other things.
The "preview" release of the new toolbar DID correct my issue of the vanishing notes on my Mac. I will test on my Windows box as well!
(Very fast response, I might add!)

To close the loop, this new version of the tool bar has resolved the issue on both Mac and PC in firefox.

Me think that's a bug as I can't think of a reason to make it a feature.
I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.3 on WinXP Pro SP2 with all updates/patches up to date.
By the way, any pages that are dynamically changing in content are not suitable for persistent highlight & sticky note.
Thanks for reporting.
Thanks,
