Keyboard shortcuts issue in Firefox [Un-Solved] - 24 views
-
Haven't been able to make personalized keyboard shortcuts stick since Firefox 11. Could it be a conflict with other addons or other programs on Windows 7 ?

I noticed that when i install it on Firefox Beta or Aurora, if i install Diigo first i don't have problems configuring and saving personalized hot-keys.
In Linux this issue doesn't exist. -
This issue is far from being resolved...
I noticed that the customized shortcuts will work if:
1. I restore Firefox extensions via Mozbackup along with all the other backed up extensions;
2. Diigo is installed first (previously posted here) before any other extension;
3. No such problem exists on Linux based OS.
Working on Windows 7 Home Ed.

I've been a regular user and promoter of Diigo since day one.
For some reason my comments must remain on the "private" level.
As far a i know, i have never misbehaved or been warned by Diigo authorities for any wrong doing.
So, i'm wondering, what does it take to become an "active and trusted user" in order to post public comments on bookmarked pages? - ...8 more comments...

After taking a glimpse at Maggie's profile and all the groups she belongs to, it's not surprising to know why she doesn't not have time for this group anymore.
We could perhaps get her attention if we created a new group and invite her huh! -
Perhaps Diigo could set the feature with a minimum requirement?
Say, a user must have at least 5 friends, belong to 5 groups, have at least 55 bookmarks.
Wouldn't this prove that he/she is a trustworthy user?

Awesome Screenshot, Read Later and Quick Note addons are welcomed novelties to Firefox4 but the icons don't fit with some themes like Nuvola. Diigo's icon becomes too big. Likewise for basic Diigo toolbar icon.
This is a correction to original post.
Many thanks to Diigo devs for upgrading the best social bookmarking tool. :)

I just recently noticed that people who post nonsense comments on webpages could lose their option to do so. That's good news 'cause i stopped reading them along time ago for the non-pertinent comments or just plain grafitti. Hope whoever censors these comments will take note of the date when these scribbles were posted so that everyone becomes aware of such a change in policy.

I'm testing b8 which is pretty good so far.
Other sites like Amplify offer similar services to Diigo are compatible with b8.
Of course, they probably don't "have" to be compatible with a bunch of services like Diigo does (time consuming) but i feel Diigo should be more at par, especially because they first started out with Firefox.

Well, i installed Maxthon2 and there was no problem remembered p.w. there.
Did uninstall / re-install previous 3.6 and no problem so far. -
yc c was right.
Everything is back to normal today.
Did the Firefox upgrade, no problem.
Phew! :)
Thanks!
-don't know why it was still working in Maxthon2 though...
Diigolet for Maxthon 3 - 97 views

Maxthon 3 is supposed to be like Google Chrome (webkit engine) but trying to drag the Chrome Diigolet fails to do anything for it.

It works Graham!
And i thought you were calling me a dummy!
:) -
Graham,
Bookmarklet's working fine here on Maxthon 3.0.4.8
But yes, i will report the need for the workaround.

Maxthon2 is expanding pretty quickly and i would really like to see Diigo work with it.
(they now have Del.icio.us to name one, Furl is indirectly available).
Unfortunately i'm not that much of a geek to make a plugin as explained here:

Do hope to see a brave soul pick up on the project. - ...4 more comments...

By chance i came across this Diigo plugin at Maxthon.
They say it works for 1 and 2 versions but the major bookmarking icon seems to be always in "loading" process for version no.2 (haven't tried no.1). It has many important features and i'm sure it will make a few Diigo/Maxthon users happy.

Oops! Corrected the plugin link
BTW, i encourage Maxthon users to try it out and to post their comments at the plugin page. -
Graham, that's good.
Using Firefox as default I had forgotten about that one.
Maxthon3 is built on a totally different engine so it may and may no longer apply.

Jay, perhaps you should re-write your post title to reflect that question.
Maggie is no.1 contact in this group.
You can post your question here or p.m. her.
To your question about this forum i believe you must first subscribe to this group. -

-"Obtuseness"? Them's big words my friend!
For someone who seems to have all the compliments in the world, i would try to choose them in a better way if i was looking for help.

Yes, a big thanks to Maggie who has been and still is of much help to helping Diigo to grow.
Has Diigo dropped support for Firefox and give priority to Google Chrome?
BTW, it would appear that Firefox is gaining momentum and Chrome going downhill in users.
I have an issue with Firefox Windows version.
Everytime i install Diigo addon, it must be first installed (before others) and rebooted if i want to modify options and then save them. This issue doesn't occur in Linux.
Not a big deal but i'm not too inclined to report anything anymore as it would seem that Diigo has become a subdivision of Google spyware.
