    T3 may promote cancer cell proliferation says study.  Triiodothyronine was found to enhance the MCF-7 and T47-D breast cancer cell lines.  The conclusion of the abstract discusses a role of T3 in breast cancer development and progression.  This likely has more to do with progression than development through increased metabolism of the cell lines.

    T3 may have effects similar to Estradiol in breast cell proliferation.  This may be, but what about the effects on increased metabolism and resultant fat loss which leads to reduce inflammation...I believe this is all about context of the environment in the individual and the importance of customizing therapy.

    No decrease or trend for lower inflammatory markers seen in Testosterone therapy in men > 65.  These men had levels of T < 475 ng/dl, which brings into question this studies results as most studies point to 300 or 250 as the mark.

    really interesting abstract.  Bisphenol A (BPA)  is a xenoestrogen.  This animal study finds that BPA down regulated ER-beta in the brains of male rats.  It also blocked the production of GABA(A)alpha 2 receptor.  These long term effects were evident in anxiety and depression in adult mice. Pregnancy exposure would set up an ER-alpha dominance in the male brain increasing risk of continuous ER alpha stim.

    Good discussion of sarcopenia.  They article looked at the evidence of Testosterone and found the evidence pointed to improved lean muscle mass; but not a direct cause effect of low T and sarcopenia.

    I love these review articles that highlight the metabolic differences of hormones in women versus men.  The medical community as a whole doesn't seem to get this at all.  The marketing-based medical community doesn't either.

    I love this abstract.  I am going to try and find the full print.  As it relates to metabolic dysfunction, elevated Testosterone provides a similar functional picture in women as low Testosterone does in men.
