Multiple word tags are not enclosed in
"…"
speech marks; the tags are broken.

I can add tags to a list, but when I search for those tags the list is not found.

So: what value is there in tagging a list?

You can add tags to all bookmarks in a list, but it does not happen automatically.

(You can also add tags to a list, but when you search for those tags you don't find that list.)

RSS format definitely included tags, when I last used that export format.

On 2010-07-10 I exported as usual to RSS format,
on 2010-07-27 I exported to Delicious format,
on 2010-07-27 I exported to Netscape format.

All three exports do include tags.

In the Netscape Bookmark format, tags appear in this format —

The import to Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 took some time (I had to ask Firefox to continue with an unresponsive script) (Diigo counts 9.069 bookmarks, Firefox counts 9,068). It recognised the names and locations, but not the tags.

It may be that more modern versions of Firefox:

* can not use tags in the HTML format provided by Diigo export
* must use JSON format to import tags.

Export in HTML didn't include tags!

I can confirm this bug.

Suspect that other types of export, including CSV, are bugged.

Is there a different endpoint for each category?

(It may be a user wish that is not yet implemented, but it feels like a bug.)

Are the searches that fail for you the ones that involve a search for a tag?

*does* place the required bookmark uppermost amongst the results from my bookmarks. My bookmark (December 2008) was made months after other users' bookmarks.
