[suggest] read later : option check box : not close the tab ! - 38 views

How about choosing " read later" in " more options" of the pop-up bookmark window?
In this way, the current tab will not be closed.
We take this two different operation mechanisms out of consideration for two different user scenarios.
One is that users do not want to close the tab when bookmarking it "read later" , another is the on the contrary.
Search in Snapshot not working - 33 views

Do you import bookmarks created long ago? If the original webpages expire, they can not be snapshoted the time you import them to diigo.
Besides, as for those links still available, they are in queue to make up a index and not searchable immediately.
What's more, having tested by creating bookmarks by diigo toolbar, i find out they are available by full-text search and searching in snapshot immediately.
Could you please send the specific url you made by toolbar? More details is needed so that we can handle it ASAP.
Thanks. -

@Dave All well now?
Having gone to your public library, i see a lot of pictures there .
For example, http://www.diigo.com/item/bookmark/controltheweb/http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photo-of-the-day/fly-geyser-nevada#image_8528431 -
It is a specific webpage only containing a picture in Jpg format. This image can not be saved to library on FF. But it can be saved on IE. Since FF does not allow any injection of codes. How about using " capture " or " snapshot" feature to save this image? What's more, you point out something needed to be improved upon.Later we will optimize this feature by disabling some related capture buttons in case some pictures can not be saved.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and pushing us to make progress from the point view of users.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for your continuous efforts to help us to improve.
Juggling many tasks - priority will go to those that achieve the max leverage / impact. We have high priority tasks at hand now. When we have more time,we will do something to make it better.
>Safari,Win7
a Option 1: Save image as a file , the file will be named "unkown.png"
b drop and drag to your local files and it is named "save image.png"
>chrome,win7
a Option 1: Save image as a file , the file will be named "download"
b drop and drag to your local files and it is named "save image"
c the default format of pictures is "jpg" but you can set it to "png" in "option" of the drop down menu after right clicking awesome screenshot icon
Jpg format is a compression format. When captured pictures exceed the size limit, they will be saved in jpg format even if png format is chosen.
However, safari does not have this kind of limitation, so we make "png" as default.

>>>>i'd like to set all my bookmarks to private. is there a setting for that?
how can i do it?
1) view all the items in advanced mode
2) select all the check boxes of those items and choose "convert to private" in the dropdown menu beside "more actions".finally, these bookmarks disappear from the public view.
Note:Currently there is no way to convert all to private at a time. However you can choose to show 100 items per page and then make them private page by page.
>>>>also i am using diigolet, i'd like to have 'private' setting as default. is there a way to do it? i was looking for a userscript to do so as in delicious. but can't find any.
Everytime you make a bookmark by using diigolet, there is a "private" checkbox beside the title on the pop-up bookmark window.

add to list feature is blocked IE7 - 30 views

You can solve the problem as instructed
1)IE menu bar-> tools->Pop-up blocker->Pop-up blocker settings
2) at the bottom of the pop-up window, Blocking level->Low: allow pop-ups from secure sites
This is an temporary expedient since changing settings in this way may bring out some unexpected webpages to you. Still, we are trying to figure out a better solution.
