I have a vague recollection of previous Diigo Community topics noting Firefox problems with URLs, but at the moment I'm not searching. Could be difficult to find.

1. forum post above broke the link that I attempted to post, AFAICT it's not possible to (re)present in the forum a link of the type presented by the address bar of Firefox 3.0.6.

2. from the post above, I edited out the breakage

3. a TinyURL of the good URL:

4. a TinyURL of the URL presented in the address bar of Firefox

Both TinyURLs in Safari lead to a single URL at which I can review my Diigo annotations.

Both TinyURLs in Firefox lead to a single URL that is without annotations.

More recent discussion re: colour/strength/intensity/depth/shade of highlights is focused within an earlier topic, New highlight colors.

Furl was far from perfect for me (personally), but bashing either of the free services won't get us anywhere :)

For as long as (remote) Diigo caching service is disabled, there are a variety of (local) workarounds.

Workarounds vary, according to the user's choice of operating system and browser; if you'd like advice please post a new topic with relevant details.

For some bookmarks: caching occurs quickly. Today's example is added to http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/42959#8

I don't know what criteria (if any) affect the time frame within which caching occurs.

a) explained by some searches matching content that was cached (by any user of Diigo) before caching service was interrupted

and/or

Update

duplicate overlapped highlights can not be deleted

- if the duplicates are limited to your My bookmarks copy of a bookmark, then (fingers crossed) it should be possible to de-duplicate through that UI

- if the duplicate highlights have been copied to a group, then fixing the issue may be more difficult.

As each issue is addressed, maybe tag it:

resolved

An improvement to groups.diigo.com should allow you to tag multiple bookmarks.
