Assuming that Adobe is at the forefront in this area, http://groups.diigo.com/group/Web2/content/1642024 may be of interest.

With Mac OS X, you can easily create widgets from parts of the web interface to Diigo (some examples at http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/587598) … whether there's anything comparable for Windows 7, I don't know; the closest I could find is http://widgetop.wordpress.com/2007/10/29/dashboard-widgets-on-windows-with-widgetop-on-prism/
Diigolet not usable with some IETF-presented HTML - 26 views

Diigolet 3.1b506: bugged
* toolbar does not drop down
* features are available
* GUI is somehow transparent
* I'll attach a screen shot demonstrating the issue.
Diigo 3.1.6.13: pass.
= Workaround =
Use Diigolet with an alternative representation of the bugged content, e.g.
http://tools.ietf.org/rfcmarkup?doc=1855 -
Diigolet 3.1b506
http://www.apps.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1855.html - bugged
http://www.apps.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1036.html - not bugged -

What you describe probably explains, or partially explains some of the bugs that I have reported.
(For myself I won't rush to cross-reference those topics, but I'll make a mental note of this one.)
Thanks

yc c and Graham Perrin liked it

In the moderation interface to this group, I:
1. command-clicked one person's post http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/new-beta-547727 to view in a separate tab, it was interesting
2. selected multiple people for approval, including the person whose post interested me
3. approved those people
4. reviewed the post.
Bug
Immediately following approval of the author, http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/new-beta-547727 does not exist. - ...1 more comments...

In the sandpit group I had three new members pending moderation.
I began by selecting (checking the box) and approving Mr. DiGi
Then, amongst other things, command-clicked the group name amongst the breadcrumbs to view the group in a new tab.
Confirmed that the approved person's posts were present:
Clicked on the earlier tab, then (amongst other things) AFAIR I clicked the ban button without selecting any user.
Then (amongst other things) approved both joel and yc c (I can't remember which one I approved first, but my instinct is that the order is irrelevant).
Then, viewed (or reviewed) one of the posts from the first approved person:
and viewed (or reviewed) that approved person's profile within the group:
- clearly, their content has been lost (probably deleted) at some point following approval.
Pending advice from the Diigo team, my personal advice to group owners/moderators has to be:
* refrain from banning - in some circumstances, a previously approved person may be banned!
@Diigo
Back to basics on this one. Something obscure, non-obvious, may be seriously wrong with the UI in this area.
If an approval of a person is followed by a ban of a different person, then might the browser/service misinterpret the ban as applying to a previously selected (not most recently selected) person? -
http://twitter.com/grahamperrin/status/14928436609 draws special attention to this bug. I'll aim to chat with someone from Diigo.
Diigolet within and without Diigo Meta, Google Docs image views, OCR by Google, Google ... - 60 views
-
Whilst a Diigo Meta view of a Google view may present an indexed, searchable text version of the file, the Diigo annotated view using Diigolet 4.0b5 may present only an imaged version of the text.
Environment
Safari in Mac OS X.
Example
http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fviewer%3Furl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwiki.cetis.ac.uk%252Fimages%252F5%252F59%252FFuture_of_standards.doc?tab=comment&uname=grahamperrin
http://diigo.com/0b5r8
Guesses
It takes some time for Google to perform OCR on the image.
The Diigo cached copy used by Diigolet 4.0b5 on its own may differ from the Diigo cached copy used by Diigo 4.0b5 within Diigo Meta.
In the example above:
* Diigo Meta with Diigolet uses an older cached copy
* Diigolet alone uses a more recent cached copy.
Google Docs: privacy
http://docs.google.com/view?docid=0AVG6-Ym42bEiZGN4YzNnN2RfOGZrenI0Z2Nw remains available when I log in to Google, after I deleted the editable copy from Google Docs.
Postscript (edit): what I see when logged in to Google is comparable to http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk/images/5/59/Future_of_standards.doc (a publicly available HTML version of a publicly available file). I wonder what would happen with a Google cached copy of a once-shared Google version of a file that was never publicly available … -
On closer inspection, it seems that http://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwiki.cetis.ac.uk%2Fimages%2F5%2F59%2FFuture_of_standards.doc allows text to be selected, but not copied, only whilst Diigolet is not loaded. After I load Diigolet, selection becomes impossible.
I sometimes but not always find that http://docs.google.com/view?docid=0AVG6-Ym42bEiZGN4YzNnN2RfOGZrenI0Z2Nw is available without logging in to Google. Does anyone else find that document visible?

> wether diigo is keeping copies of my highlights
If a page that you have highlighted changes, or goes away:
* highlights do remain in your library.
Example:
* http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FDVD-Video?f=m&tab=comment&uname=grahamperrin shows two highlights that were drawn over a past edition of that page
* http://www.diigo.com/annotated?uid=26573&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FDVD-Video currently shows only one highlight (where a text remains unchanged). -
> seems to have been deleted
@abueno1
I finally reproduced a bug that may have caused loss of your contributions to the group. http://twitter.com/grahamperrin/status/14928436609 draws attention of Diigo to the relevant post, with screen shots.
Please: can you recall, from March/April time, whether what went missing was
a) your first post ever to this group
or
b) your first post to this group since the (2009) service upgrade to Diigo 4.0 beta?
