> How to you post code here?
Aim instead for a pastebin. Of the bins with which I'm familiar, I prefer Pastie for its language-oriented highlighting, and pastebin.ca for its use of OpenID etc..
Avoid pasting to Diigo group topics, to Diigo notes, any code that may be 'exotic'.
(We can argue that the pre tag is extremely non-exotic, but that's not the way things work hereabouts. You might like to enable e-mail notification for http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/587446 and http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/972833 .)
Notes and topics aside: it should be safe to draw Diigo highlights over code. - ...4 more comments...

As https://wave.google.com/ redirects to https://wave.google.com/wave/
so both URLs should be treated as a home pages; floating notes should be disallowed.
At the moment, there are eight floating, some of which are very obstructive.

AFAICT in Diigo 4.0 beta, handling of
#
character within URLs improves the ability of Diigo to bookmark some types of page. At least:
* compatible with Google Gmail
* partly compatible with Google Wave.

Not all of them ;)
The examples with my name, or my UID number, are not intended for general consumption. (AFAIK the scripts can do no harm, but users will be more interested in their own views of things, than mine :)
I'm discouraging annotated links until after the missing comments issue is addressed.
The meta ones could be useful, if end users understand that they must manually add (for example) their own user name or group name to the tail of the URL. I know of no way to programatically do that sort of stuff with Diigo.
Feel free to experiment!
Thanks again,

Difficulty selecting text at some types of pages. Any hints? - 0 views
-
Not really a Diigo question but here goes.
For pages such as
http://meteorserver.org/
where some texts are difficult or impossible to select,† does anyone have any handy hints for easing/enabling selection?
I sometimes use the Develop menu of Safari to temporarily Disable Styles, then select, then re-enable styles, then click the highlight button (Diigolet 4.0b14) but it's a bit long-winded.
Any other suggestions gratefully appreciated.
† In the lower part of Diigo Meta at http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fmeteorserver.org%2F?tab=comment&uname=grahamperrin we see a strange effect.
