List comments should not be excluded from the shared view of a list - 12 views

Suggestion
List editors should have the option of presenting comments in the shared view of the list.
Example
Comments at http://www.diigo.com/list/grahamperrin/handhelds are excluded from the shared view http://www.diigo.com/list/grahamperrin/handhelds?v=p
(In that example, the comments are most important.) -
The public (logged out) view of http://www.diigo.com/list/grahamperrin/handhelds is OK now. Comments are present.
http://groups.diigo.com/group/Diigo_HQ/content/1716147 (2010-07-01)
v=p no longer working for lists.

That list is OK now, comments are present.

I can reproduce this bug.
For what is probably my most recent list, the library view of that bookmark doesn't mention the list. -

In Diigo 5, that view is known as

Hi, a nice suggestion, and I don't disagree that it would be useful for lists that are unusually long.
However, a couple of questions:
1. When you extend a list that's already long: is the extension more for your benefit, or for the benefit of other readers?
2. Similarly, when you order a long list in a particular way: is that combination of great length + order more for your benefit, or for the benefit of other readers?
Glancing at
http://www.diigo.com/list/infoynet/templates?v=p and the more familiar collapsed view
http://www.diigo.com/list/infoynet/templates there's a great deal there and for anyone who wishes to filter out anything, the option is not present.
Normally at e.g. http://www.diigo.com/user/infoynet/Templates the related tags portlet appears at top right, allowing viewers to easily refine the results, condense the list.
(Side note: layout of that particular list is broken, cross reference http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/48946#7 so related tags have fallen to the far end of the list.)
Personally:
* for short lists, I'm a great fan of order
* beyond a certain (nebulous) length, I tend to prefer more flexible ways of representing information.
How do you find the tagging and related interfaces in Diigo 3 beta?
Regards

Re http://www.diigo.com/tools/api
@ Diigo
Is there an undocumented parameter for any of the following?
read
unread
readitlater
(From notes at http://pastebin.ca/1453102 , I suspect not.)
Suggestion
Please add, or document, a suitable parameter.
Thanks!

Is there a way to minimise the recent tags? - 5 views

AFAIR in Diigo 4.0 beta the library presented tags in two ways at the same time, one of which was minimised.
Would it help to have your list of lists

more user-friendly?
want to migrate lists to other lists - 7 views

There's a previous topic on this subject, with a workaround … at the moment, I can't find the topic.
Reiterating that workaround, to the best of my recollection:
1. in the first list
2. select the bookmarks to be added to the other list
3. add a unique, temporary tag e.g. otherlist
4. select any occurrence of that tag (view those bookmarks in your library)
5. switch to advanced view
6. select
7. add to the other list
8. remove the temporary tag from your library.

That was the norm in Diigo 3.x.

This problem arose when Diigo 4.0 beta was introduced. Please enable e-mail subscription for

- Please restore the ability to sort by date added/created.
The only workaround I have is to add tags for day, month and year to every bookmark. Example end results:

http://www.diigo.com/search?adSScope=my&what=stuff&sort=date&ann=yes
finds stuff in your library that *is* annotated.
Experimentally changing the tail of that URL from yes to no,
http://www.diigo.com/search?adSScope=my&what=stuff&sort=date&ann=no
might be expected to find stuff in your library that is *not* annotated but the experiment doesn't work.
(Upgrade to Diigo 5 is in progress. It may be worth revisiting this aspect of the topic in a week or so.) -
