Save Internet - 0 views

  •
The Internet has become an integral part of all of our lives. We use it to do our work, connect with people and gain knowledge about various subjects. As our representatives, many of you use it to gather research about the issues faced by your constituents, the challenges faced by different parts of our country, and the expert knowledge needed to legislate for India's future and shape our national decisions. Today, the Internet in our country is facing the danger of losing its neutrality, which is vital to ensure that it grows to reach many more of our fellow Indians - and the people who use it innovate further. In the interest of furthering this cause, we have launched a campaign with fellow Indians who wish to 'Save the Internet'. This letter is addressed to Parliamentarians who have already taken or are considering taking a position on the recent consultation paper released by the TRAI for Internet licensing and net neutrality. We are grateful for the support we have received and the various public statements made by several of you which cut across party lines. Through this letter we wish to point out the intent and purpose of saveinternet.wheelchairindia.com campaign and also the call for a larger network neutrality law in India.

Those of all ages whose physical disabilities restrict their movement, affect their ability to earn a living or become valued members of society. Specially designed tricycles provide a mode of transport for the physically disabled allowing them much sought after independence and an opportunity for self support. The tricycles will enable freedom of movement and less dependency on others. Most of the people who depend on these tricycles are daily wage workers who have to travel long distances every day. The regular tricycles have no suspension and the riders are prone to spinal injuries. Most of them also cannot afford good medical care, and driving these tricycles for a long time affects. To deal with the problem, come up with a model tricycle that can be very useful to people who have a disability in their lower limbs, but a strong torso. The Handy tricycle to provide the ideal cycling experience for users advancement of upper body strength and toning for athletic events. Especially valuable to triathletes and challenged, it provides the perfect way to get in shape and stay that way. The tricycle achieves the true convenience of transportation while providing easy-to-use pedaling, steering and breaking controls. These are amongst the top selling handcycles on the market today. Handy is available in upright and recumbent versions. Hand powered front wheel drive. An internal hub-based gear shifting system is built into the front wheel. This provides ultra smooth shifting and is virtually maintenance-free. The entire front frame section is removable and connects easily, quickly and securely using a bolt-on system. The seat can be repositioned quickly and easily to allow the rider to achieve an optimally efficient distance between seat and handlebars. The rear wheels are removed using a single finger push system, allowing the bike to be broken down very quickly. Defined by two ways: Fork steer: It represent the majority of handcycles. They work well for both low

Exposure to the Functional Bacterial Amyloid Protein Curli Enhances Alpha-Synuclein Agg... - 0 views

  • Our work suggests that protein misfolding and immune activation in neurodegenerative disorders are triggered through cross-seeding by exposure to exogenous microbial amyloids in the nose, mouth and gut.
  • Streptococcus mutans, Staphlococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and others
  • Gene homologs encoding curli were recently determined also in four phyla: Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Thermodesulfobacteria
  • ...8 more annotations...
  • changes in the gut microbiota induced by antibiotics alter neuroinflammation and amyloid deposition in a mouse model of AD
  • Our data suggest that amyloid proteins in the microbiota are involved in the origination and maintenance of neurodegenerative disease.
  • exposure to bacteria producing a functional extracellular amyloid protein enhances aggregation of AS in brain neurons in aged rats and in muscle cells in nematodes
  • AS aggregates seed aggregation of tau
  • involvement of the vagus nerve in PD
  • microgliosis, astrogliosis and enhanced expression of IL-6, TLR2 and TNF in the brain following curli exposure suggest the occurrence of an enhanced local sterile inflammatory response to AS in the brain.
  • the immune system in both AD and PD have now been extensively established
  • TLR2 activation through exposure to bacterial amyloid is pathogenic
  •
Gut bacteria may play crucial role in systemic inflammation that leads to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.  These amyloid production bacteria trigger systemic inflammation that leads to microglia activation and amyloid in the brain.   More establishment of the gut-brain connection.

Prior Dietary Practices and Connections to a Human Gut Microbial Metacommunity Alter Re... - 0 views

  • Long-term DPs play a large role in determining the selective environment that the gut microbiota faces, ultimately influencing the composition and diversity of taxa maintained within the gut microbial community
  • Americans consuming unrestricted diets maintained less diverse fecal microbiota than those of individuals adhering to a plant-rich diet with restricted caloric intake
  • Experiments in mice have shown that multigenerational exposure to a Western diet poor in “microbiota-accessible carbohydrates” can lead to extirpation of specific bacterial lineages
  •
Diet is the key to gut microbe diversity.  Gut microbes are key to maintaining optimal cellular metabolism.  Nutrition can be a prescription for improving and reprogramming gut bacteria.
