Awesome, informative, loads of stuff on teaching ICT and music education in primary schools.

This is a downloadable programme that teaches programming through a virtual robotic rover. Design games and challenges with your robot moving and finding objects. The commands are similar to MS Logo, but the interface and graphics are vastly more child-friendly. It is free for personal use. Teaching ethical and safe use of ICTs.

This site is called "Teaching with Technology - H1N1 Online Plans", but it's really about presenting a list of ways you can use information and communications technologies to teach remotely or augment the in-class experience.

This is a must try site which provides an amazing 3D world which teaches English and maths core skills. Players race against two other randomly chosen online players of a similar level. The questions start out very easy and adapt to the performance of the player. The questions are read out and some are displayed on the screen. The player just clicks on the correct multiple choice answer to increase their speed. There is a download for PCs and Macs as well as apps for iPad and Android. There are teacher accounts which allow you to make logins for lots of children quickly. When there log in students will be asked to design an avatar. This is a wonderful Video conferencing site which works across many types of devices. There is no sign up or login required. Just start a room and share the link to invite afters. You can have five video participates at once. You can watch videos together from YouTube and other sites. There is a collaborative notepad, text chat, file sharing and you can even share your screen with other 'room mates.' You can sign in for free to customise rooms and schedule sessions. Before starting to work as a part-time technology integrator at our school this year, the principal asked me to come up with one 'thing', one key strategy for staff and students to ICT to improve their teaching and learning. After seeing the flexibility, robustness and 'organic' nature of Moodle the choice was pretty simple to make.
