snapshot - freeze frame of diigo activity on a page - 43 views

What I want to be able to do is to save the diigo activity on a page at a given time. In this way I hope to be able set students an assignment involving diigo and then see what they have done at a given time. So that my snapshot is saved somewhere (on my PC perhaps) and will not be affected by subsequent annotations on the same url.

I know that I should be able to do this with webslides - but as other forum users say, webslides are not available to private groups and for obvious reasons with student work it is appropriate to keep it confidential.

Is there a way to save the page with the annotations in place?

What can a group moderator do that an ordinary member can not do? - 136 views

Diigo groups allow an ordinary group member to be converted to a moderator.

I had thought this might allow them to edit or delete other peoples annotations. BUT this does not seem to be the case.

What can a group moderator do that an ordinary member can not do?

Are there further rights planned for moderators in the future?

    Hi Mah

that is certianly what I thought they might be able to do, but I am not sure it works too well - they certainly cannot edit or delete other peoples bookmarks.

url wiki wild_card

I guess that Diigo stores a copy of the url as part of the indexing of each page.

Some sites - e.g. wikis, provide slightly modified urls when the person in logged in with edit rights rather than just browsing without logging in. This seems to cause Diigo treat the same page as different pages as the url is slightly different.

I would have thought it might be possible to have two solutions, but I hope the Diigo team can clarify:

    1) can one use a wild card at the end of the url so that Diigo looks for the start of the url string and effectively ignores anything after the wild card.

    2) can a user, moderator, group leader easily combine the material from two Diigo overlay (both dealing with the same actual page) on to one overlay OR can the two be shown at the same time?
