the added comments appear at the top.

Proper order (not reverse order) will be:

Wherever I entered two line breaks, one of each pair is lost.

Workaround

Three line breaks, instead of two, at the end of each paragraph.

One in three seems to be lost by Diigo, the end result of the loss is proper spacing between paragraphs. Example: http://diigo.com/0bglj

This workaround is far from ideal.

The workaround is not easy to remember, it took three tries before I got it right for http://diigo.com/0c52s

Maybe the losses occur only when text is pasted (not typed within the note).

If you're concerned to gain a full export sooner rather than later then I shouldn't stop you from doing whatever you like with your own library :-) and I do have a copy at http://www.diigo.com/bookmark/http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.japantimes.co.jp%2Fcgi-bin%2Ffl20090614x2.html?tab=comment&uname=grahamperrin but this might be a rare opportunity for Diigo team to debug this type of thing with a focus on your library, which (alone) might contain the origin of the bug.

I'll see if an export of my library is similarly truncated since cloning the highlights from your bookmark…

Do you mean, e-mail to an address @diigo.com to produce a bookmark in your library?

If so, the answer is no.

When you send e-mail to a service such as Posterous, the result is relatively unstructured:
* subject
* body text.

Bookmarks in Diigo are more structured, at least:
* URL
* title
— plus metadata:
* tags
* public/private/
* read/unread
* description
* comments
* etc..

Affected: pages such as http://news.worldofapple.com/archives/2009/10/03/fcc-evidence-suggest-new-apple-keyboard-and-mouse/

Reloading the page does not work around this bug.
