D#6, HW#6-- I really enjoyed this website for many different reasons. Firstly, for the way t is set up. It is easy to read and enjoyable. They have a main bullet point to look at, and then list and shortly describe different aspects of that bullet point. Also, it covers just about every aspect from design, to performance, to even security. It has a lot of great information!

I like this article because it gives an endless amount of possibilities on how to improve your blog. This article features ideas that will suit any blog. 

I thought this blog was interesting because it shows how blogs are becoming an alternative communication method for corporations, advertisers, politicians and journalists. It gives you a brief definition of all the tools in blogging, how to involve your company in blogs, examples of blogs, benefits, and much more. It illustrates how communication of blogging through the internet is really changing the way we communicate in the corporate world.

Her first two, Keep an Idea Incubator and Make a Mindmap of your Blog, are excellent, I think. A mindmap would really show what you quickly what you have been blogging about and what you can do differently.

Great website, and while not all of the tips will be of bennefit to us, there are a lot of great and hidden treasures to be found within this post. The fact that tip number two was to create a mindmap also made me smile because it connected with the rest of our course in full circle.

While a number of them cannot be applied to my course blog (I'm not collaborating with anyone else, for example), there was still plenty of relevant advice. Even though I am given the topics to cover, I can still let my own personality come through. This relates to the course outcome of performance; a blog needs to feel like it was written by a human being and not by a robot.  I could also start adding videos that contribute to my audience's understanding. I know that the sample rhetoric on the town assignment included a video of the advertisement the student had analyzed. Another good suggestion is to break up the paragraphs, which I try to do, or use bullet points. Another blogger suggests using subheads.

This is a website that gives us 10 tips on making out WordPress blog better. It shows me many different things that I didn't even know I could do to my blog.

This was a helpful website because it provided tips on improving the theme of the blog. It also provided codes such as for adding multiple widgets. I thought this was helpful because our homework asks us to add widgets.

I thought the 5th way to improve a blog was important. Having ideas to write about is important. If the core of your blog (writing) is worthless, it won't matter how pretty your blog is.

This is a good resource for how to improve your blog because it tells you to spell check (which I'm surprised lately with how many things I've been reading on and offline that are not spell checked...), it says to back up facts, and have a plan. Even though this webpage is mostly for food blogs, I think a lot of the info can be used for regular blogs also.

This I thought was a no brainer. I don't know about my other classmates, but this is my first blog and when I first found out we were going to create a blog I didn't have a clue what I was going to do. I feel much more confident with my blogging skills but may learn something from a 101 website such as this one.

I think this is a good resource that will help improve my wordpress blog because it gives tips on what makes a good blog content-wise, what is important about it, why it exists, what people are looking for when reading your blog, it gives tips on how to gain the most traffic into your blog, how to promote your blog, how to tell if your blog is successful, and even how to make money using your blog (wow!)

This site suggests ways to improve the content, organization, and marketing of your blog. It focuses on making everything user friendly, easily accessible, and keeping it simple (not too many plugins).

100 easy step to help your blog. Content, beainstorming, use other writers, use vdeos some obviuos and some so unobviuos.

Here is another list to help me spark my ideas on how to create a more proficient blog. Some of the options on this list are a bit ridiculous for this class and I couldn't really see myself doing them like hiring other writers. While others like ridding myself of unproductive widgets sounds like such a great way to make space and reduce clutter.I like this one a lot just due to all the suggestions it imposes.

I like this website because it provided good information about design. It stated that simply changing the design, blog traffic and visiting time increases. Changing the design also will help readers stay on your page and not leave if the design make the blog look ugly. This is helpful because when my peers go to my blog I want them to want to read my posts and give me feedback.

Although this website is giving tips to an audience hoping to increase their blog's popularity, members of the TWC class may also find some of these tips helpful. There are several strategies mentioned that will make the WordPress blogs that are constantly used in this course to be easier to read, more organized, and more inviting to the intended audience.

This website gives ideas to help improve your Wordpress blog through personality and passion

The last way this suggested on improving my blog made me laugh. I am not getting paid for this so I guess I am doing it for the right reasons. I didn't even know people blogged for money, I just thought of it more as a Public Service announcement kind of system. Where people could vent their ideas and opinions in a structured environment where they could receive feedback on such ideas. This page helped a bit due to the simplicity of it, being crunched for time within the last week I took the very brief descriptions and began to try to incorporate these facts into my blog to see if any imporvement would come about. 

Well I retract my statement from just moments ago. THIS website really integrates everything that we have been taught thus far and brings it around full circle.

On this site, they list 39 tips in how to improve your blog and they also at the end of each tip, they will refer websites to check which is really above and beyond what I was expecting. This site has tips that they not be going along with what we're doing, but it's really simple to read and not boring as well. It's a well written tip site and if anyone is ever really going to hardcore blog, this is worth looking at.

So this article may not apply to our class blog but it can help anyone with their personal blog. The article describes that advertisement is the biggest way to increase traffic and get your name out there!
