This is my favorite of the websites that supplement my understanding of remediation because it does a great job of explaining the subject. It gives great examples of movies and events that involved remediation that I would know and this helped me understand it more.

D10 HW#6 - 0 views

  •
This is my favorite of the websites I found because it touches on things you might not immediately think about when making a video resume, such as video quality and editing. When making a video resume you tend to only think about how you are portraying yourself, but it is important to look at all of the parts that make up the resume.

Business Report Writing - 0 views

  •
I like this website for formal report writing because it not only breaks down the different sections of the report but also talks about why these types of reports are important and the characteristics of the reader that should be taken into account when writing.

The Language of New Media | Q & A - 0 views

  •
This page helps me understand the Language of New Media because the author is answering questions about the article. It helps that Manovich goes into more details on some areas that may be a little confusing to the reader.

All's Fair Under Fair Use? - Forbes.com - 0 views

  •
This is my favorite Fair Use resource because it gives a real life example of an Associated Press counsel member picking out sites that have used AP work without permission. It also talks a lot about how digital media has changed copyright.

D#6 HW#1.1: Harmony In Design Part 2: Repetition » SitePoint - 0 views

  •
This is my favorite of the website I found that helped supplement my understanding for several reasons. I think the examples are great. Not only that it is very similar to the book in that it talks about repeating visual elements such as images, lines, even typefaces. The series of books are a perfect example because they show you can use repetition without being identical, as long as it is conceptual related.

Fundamentals of Graphic Design - Part 1: Alignment | Killersites Web Design M... - 0 views

  •
This website was a good supplement to the understanding of alignment because it broke it down, even so far as to talk about how as humans we value alignment, it makes us feel comfortable. It gives great examples of the different types of alignment you can use and gives rules of thumb like finding a strong element on the page to align something against.

DD#5 HW#1- bookmarks for C5 - 0 views

  •
I like this website because it is a fun way to show how alignment is used poorly and how it can be used well. We have all read a comic and understand that the first one on this page is hard to read because of its alignment. So this site shows exactly how important alignment is, and how you can learn to use it correctly.

English Online - Writing Skills - instructions - 0 views

  •
This will help me in the first project because I can easily refer to their examples and decide if my instructions are correct or not. I like that there is user interaction with this website, it keeps me engaged, rather than just reading text.

Good and Bad ads that caught my eye print | adland.tv - 0 views

  •
These ads are good examples of the emphasis and visual hierarchy we were talking about. In most of the ads there is a prominent text, which your eye is drawn to first, followed by smaller text, or images, that you look to next. This helps get your attention first, and then you read the rest of the ad, just like they hoped you would.

d#1 hw#13 100 Creative Business Cards - 1 views

  •
I thought this website exemplified what chapter one of Basics Of Design was talking about, in terms of keeping design simple and appealing to the correct audience. The business cards are simple but creative way to promote one's business in the specific field of work they are in. They are very aware of what audience they are trying to speak to. "100 (Really) Creative Business Cards." Webdesigner Depot. Web. 22 Aug 2011. .
