Well I retract my statement from just moments ago. THIS website really integrates everything that we have been taught thus far and brings it around full circle.
Great website, and while not all of the tips will be of bennefit to us, there are a lot of great and hidden treasures to be found within this post. The fact that tip number two was to create a mindmap also made me smile because it connected with the rest of our course in full circle.
This fun article gives the basics of why it's important to have alignment within your designs. What stood out to me though is his analysis of what type of text alignment works and what doesn't from years of experience.
This is a really great website which goes really in-depth about alignment.
It covers the basics, but also shows more subtle techniques, such as center
alignment on a vertical axis, center alignment in negative space with gutters
and alignment which occures within the actual pictures.
This website provides a good supplement to the reading because not only does it go into why balance works in it's examples, it also shows how other design elements help create a balanced design.
This website uses contrast in a very interesting way. It uses the colors black, red and a creative fromat to create the eye catching introduction. It repeats the colors using pops of the red to draw your eye downwards.
This is by far the best website I've found thus far for project 1. I breaks down how to write out instructions in simple, easy to grasp concepts, just like how it says you should write instructions to your audience.
