This site contains helpful teaching tips and strategies for low brass. The tips were authored by Richard Murrow who is the principal tubist with the East Texas Symphony. The purpose of the resource is to provide a step by step process for teaching embouchure and the first tones for low brass beginners. Other tips are offered as well such as posture, how to hold the instrument, and tips about responsible teaching. The site does not contain musical content, but rather provides information that will prepare students to begin studying musical exercises.

This website is a game developed by Carnegie Hall that helps younger students learn the instruments of the orchestra. The game uses Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. This interactive game helps students understand the layout of an orchestra, the ranges of the individual instruments, and how they sound individually and together in an ensemble. This is an excellent tool for elementary music!

Classic Cat is a website that hosts over 6,000 classical recordings. The user is able to look up songs by composer, title and genre. It also houses a link to "Young Composers". Each recording is a full recording. This is perfect supplement to any Music Appreciation lesson plan while studying the Classical Era.

This website provides a detailed teaching and playing sequence for increasing fluency for all members of the recorder family. These resources include note sequences, fingering charts, technical advice/tips, etc.

Lots of technical information on recorder method. Areas of the website that I explored have a lot of information that can seem overwhelming, but is also incredibly helpful. Would be a great resource for someone who wants to learn how to play/teach the recorder by studying/reading.

Different music genres, personalize learning, cross curricular studies, song writing and sketching, melody, and, literacy and drama are a few of the attractions fo this website.

Resource for UF Masters in Music Education. Google classroom has become an incredible resource for me. I didn't fully understand the potential that the program offers but it truly takes a lot of administrative work off my desk. Google Forms will create student progress spread sheets. Students can record an mp3 file of themselves through a program like GarageBand and submit to the classroom for assessment. I can add lectures and resources to my class to allow them to study for written exams.

This site has a real nifty guide/chart of Disney songs and a breakdown of the tempo(speed), range, meter and brief notes about the song. The videos are a little dry but if you don't want to go through a book/music library to find a particular song, this would be a great reference if you want to study Disney songs either through the lense of theory or performance accuracy,

Great website to use in a music theory class I enjoy the lessons, exercises, and tools, plus the information on their mobile apps.

This is a famous popular website and also app, that i use to teach my private students. This is a great way to practice reading music, ear training and knowing knowledge of different type of topics in music theory. This website and app has definitely made me a stronger musician through my undergraduate years. The purpose of this website is to provide practice of musical content, to help strength the mindset in many areas.

This is a website that offers free lessons, exercises and tools for the development of music theory knowledge and skill. 

This site advocates for music edcuation. It provides information through blogs, articles, and research. The topics of discussion include arts as a core subject, formal teacher evaluation procedure for arts classes, engaging students in music classes, and the importance of providing an arts education to every student. A nice aspect of this site is that it provides information not only in the form of text, but also graphs and charts. This makes the information presented easy to comprehend for a larger audience. Teachers can use the informaion from these research studies and blogs to ensure that their music program is genuinely helping all of the students and to educate themselves on the importance of music education/its place in todays changing views on the arts as a core subject.
