This website offers resources for brass players, including: advice, news articles, etc. This is a place for all brass players regardless of age or level of experience to learn new techniques and find resources for becoming a better brass player.

This site contains helpful teaching tips and strategies for low brass. The tips were authored by Richard Murrow who is the principal tubist with the East Texas Symphony. The purpose of the resource is to provide a step by step process for teaching embouchure and the first tones for low brass beginners. Other tips are offered as well such as posture, how to hold the instrument, and tips about responsible teaching. The site does not contain musical content, but rather provides information that will prepare students to begin studying musical exercises. 

This site has a lot of great material for brass and percussion. I have used them in the past for a few items (range builders, breathing exercises, drum heads). Affordable items and a very good resource for music teachers.

From re-stringing a french horn rotary valve to simply teaching your brass students how to properly breath when they are playing this website has it all. This website will be a huge help when starting out new brass students as well as teaching more advanced techniques.

This is the website for the Dallas Brass. The Dallas Brass have been around since 1983, and one of their primary functions is touring the country to visit schools. It also provides links to information on breathing exercises, efficiency exercises, intonation, and various other clinics. There is also information on how to book them to visit your school.

I use this website with my beginning bands when they are first starting to pick what instrument they want to play. It categorizes instruments by family and gives a brief description of each with a sound clip. There are strings, percussion, woodwinds, and brass. The woodwind section is missing tenor and bari sax, and the brass section is missing euphonium but otherwise it is quite complete. I usually show this while having the actual instrument out.

An amazing site for all instrumentalists that includes audio/video demonstrations of most woodwind, brass, string, percussion, and keyboard instruments. Examples of articulation, timbre in different registers, mutes, vibrato, special effects, and more are provided.

The site also contains a variety of recordings by trombone soloists, jazz bands, and trombone quartets. The site could serve as a resource for students seeking professional recordings as well as instructional information. 

This page was authored by Arthur Lehman who played euphonium in the President's Own U.S. Marine Band. The page discusses intonation issues facing wind bands. The purpose is to discuss causes of poor intonation and it also provides some diagnostic information. The page also contains links to professional recordings of euphonium players which could serve as a valuable resource to young low brass musicians.

The tuner has a variety of features and settings for different instruments and ensembles. It is particularly useful for tracking sustained pitch accuracy using a variety of graphing options and its distinctive growing smiley face. The website also has a section of educational resources for brass, woodwind, and orchestral instruments.
