Adults love to ask "What if...?" questions too. It is a model that can be a catalyst for change when used in the right way and when combined with some other questions.

The Student Technology Integration course is a hands on study of technology integration in an educational context. Students will be required to assess problem sets throughout the day and define the best approach to addressing or solving the problem. In addition to solving problems for students and teachers, students will be required to complete and maintain several running projects that address problems or solutions in educational technology integration. The course also asks students to have a prior understanding of Apple OS, Microsoft Windows OS, and the iPad iOS.

Being in this world I was happy to see our innovations being shared. When I read the comments (unfortunately closed ATM) I became aware of the largely unfavorable reactions to solutions that we are a part of. I was shocked. So many people willing to throw stones and to assign conspiratorial motivations to the "improvements" being introduced.

Apple Configurator is a new tool to mass configure iOS devices.  Please note it is for enterprise solutions and I hear it is most useful for 20 or more devices.

Twitter has simply become one of the best places for teachers to collaborate, share solutions to common classroom problems, and discuss education policy. In fact, it might just be the best forum teachers have ever had.

Agreed, I've recently started using twitter and it's an invaluable tool.

Paying banks to lower SPED costs?  Sure, I can see how that makes sense.  Paying the schools to serve the students sure has been a silly solution for all these years, and so simple Thank goodness that the DOE and the banks have made this clearer.

The maker movement and with it maker-centered learning brings new possibilities and challenges into the classroom. It has spawned makerspaces and students are busy designing and making products. The danger with all this frenzied making is that it is very easy to miss the point, to focus on the product and not the journey.
