Please visit our blog or "What's New" up in the navigation to check out more details: http://bit.ly/dsJZyX

Although UI hasn't changed too much in this version (mostly in homepage & My Library), there are quite a few backend changes to support more data types (now & upcoming versions) and the ability to support more platforms.

Once again, the entire Diigo team would like to express our most sincere thanks to each and every one of our users and fans, especially those who helped so much in our testing phase, for your time, help, encouragement, suggestions, ideas, and yes, bug reports to help us shape Diigo where it is today.

As Diigo continues to improve and evolve, we appreciate your input and continued support to help spread the words about Diigo. If you like what you see, please blog, tweet, share it with your friends and colleagues! Let's all do more diigo-ing :-)

    Sincerely,

    The Diigo Team
Graham Perrin

Turning links into a library with Diigo - 6 views

  • My bookmarks are my digital memory.
  • Unclutter your mind. I’m all for not having to remember tech tutorials or the tour company we used in NYC, bookmarks allow me to archive that knowledge. They are my digital library.
  • Your browser enables you to save a link, place it in a folder, and possibly add a few tags (which you probably don’t use). Can you annotate a link? How about highlighting a portion of the page? Does it take a snapshot of the page? Will it create lists? Generate reports? How effectively can you search your bookmarks? How much more useful and complete would your links become with these tools?
  • ...5 more annotations...
  • Hyperlinks are pieces of information, we need context. What was important about the link? What we need is a library that has information about the data we collecting.
  • Welcome to Diigo Social bookmarking and a whole lot more.
  • As you can see Diigo is an amazing tool that can revolutionize how you research and archive the web.
  • How Diigo can make you more productive? Diigo’s research tools make archiving a breeze so you will build a much more complete and useful reference system. An online database that you can search and share with ease.
  • TakeAways Bookmarking prevents us from having to remember. Our bookmarks become a personal reference library Diigo’s superior tools will help you create an amazing library.

Thing 13 Diigo vs Delicious | Learning with Technology - 8 views

  • First, the option to look up people in different ways such as their real name, user name or how they tagged something allows for better networking.  I also am very impressed with the idea of lists.  Although, I am still trying to figure out how to implement them, I am excited that this would be a great tool for the classroom use for research and or sharing.  In addition, I have just spent hours trying to figure out the snapshot feature.  I think I will break down and watch a tutorial.  However, I truly like to try to figure things out on my own. It seems to me I am just hitting the surface of Diigo.  Delicious does not seem to have as many bells and whistles.
  • I have always liked Social Bookmarking.  I wish we could get more teachers to network and therefore share tags.  If you had a set of tags that were standard, you could easily create websites that coincided with curriculum, standards and which time of year they were for.   Social Bookmarking is a great way to collaborate and find some great treasures.

As much as Diigo offers lots of very advanced features, it's nearly impossible for us to have all the every possible features that one wishes to have. There are "MUST-Have" and there are "nice-to-have" features. Our development priorities must be given to tasks that we deem are most urgently needed by most of users, not just occasional needs.

This is added to our To-Do list. Meanwhile, if it's very important for a group to change the ownership, please let us know - we will be glad to assist.

Thanks for reporting. Feeds were temporarily "broken" due to our new server setting change for the upcoming release. Should be fixed now. Please check.

NOTE: again, our work requires a lot of concentration and sometimes we have very limited bandwidth. At times we may be in a "radio silent" mode in order to get things done. Please be a little bit patient at time like this (and knowing that it's rather difficult for us to respond to every single communication, although we do try hard to monitor and interact with our users as much as we can...)

Our team has been working countless hours to deliver good services to our users all these time. Positive encouragement and recognition for our hard work are appreciated!

    Nathan,

Thanks for the note. No worry, and understand completely. thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

my message is directed to the public (ie. why we seem unresponsive sometimes). Small team, but large ambition. Like to get things done, in our own way :)

Thanks again for everyone's continued support.

Thanks GL for sharing the tip!

Indeed, you can use these view annotation filters. In the upcoming release (new V4 site & toolbar), we will be rolling out even more anti-spam measures to allow more specific sites blockage and spam reporting. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience & our community members' active help & involvement!
