I will never post any information more personal than my first name nor will I post pictures of myself. I will not plagiarize, instead I will expand on others' ideas and give credit where it is due. I will use language appropriate for school. I will not insult my fellow students or their writing. I will only post pieces that I am comfortable with everyone seeing; other pieces I will keep as drafts. I will not be afraid to express my ideas, while not overgeneralizing or making derogatory/inflammatory remarks; any posts or edits on controversial issues must either be submitted to Mr. Wilkoff prior to posting or be a part of a classroom project/question which addresses controversial issues. I will use constructive/productive/purposeful criticism, supporting any idea, comment, or critique I have with evidence. I will take all online content creation seriously, posting only things that are meaningful and taking my time when I write. I will try to spell everything correctly. I will not use my public writing (blog posts, comments, discussion topics, wiki edits) as a chat room, instead, I will save IM language for private conversations. I will not bully others in my blog posts or in my comments. I will never access another student's account in order to pose as them or look at their personal content, but I will advise them when they haven't logged out of their computer from my own account. I will be proactive in monitoring the comments that others leave on my blog, utilizing the comment blacklist if necessary. I will personalize my blog and keep my writing authentic, while taking responsibility for anything blogged in my name. I will not provoke other students in my blog posts or comments. I will use my online content as an extension of the classroom, and in doing so, I will leave anything that unsaid in the classroom unsaid online. I will only post photos which are school appropriate and either in the creative commons or correctly cited. I will not spam (including, but not limited to meaningless messages, mass messages, and repetitive messages) I will only post comments on posts that I have fully read, rather than just skimmed. I will respect the public nature of online information, and in doing so, I will respect the wishes of my fellow students for keeping their information (full name, compromising stories, etc.) private.

I bought Smart Backpack Travel Laptop for airline travel. When I packed it the first time, I was amazed by how much it held and how organized everything was. I was going to write a review then but my husband said to wait till after the trip, that it might fall apart during travel. Well, the trip is over and this backpack is easily the best AND the most comfortable I've ever had. Zippers worked fine, the computer section was padded, the big compartment easily held my CPAP, the wide padded straps and padded back felt terrific, and the handle on top was easy to hold and felt very sturdy. Would happily buy this again for anyone needing a good backpack. I LOVED having my carry-on on my back instead of hanging off a shoulder or dragging behind me.

I ordered these YogaToes Gems Toe Separators For Bunions because I saw the reviews people had written, saying it was helping their bunions and their toes. I'm developing a bunion and so I thought I'd give it a try. I also have 2 torn tendons on the inside of my left foot and plantar fasciitis. I wasn't sure how it'd feel. Well, it's slowly helping the bunion on my left foot. I accidentally fell asleep with them on the other day - that's how comfortable they can get. Due to the plantar fasciitis, I was having trouble flexing my toes, but after the last 5 days of wearing them on and off, I'm able to bend my toes. They came just as shown in the photo, official packaging, and everything. I would recommend these to anyone who's developing a bunion, for some sort of relief.

This is why I don't share the photos of my children online in public places. After one pic of a child at school was favorited in this way, I took the pic down and am ridiculously vigilant about checking to see how many photos have been favorited and which ones to see if there is one that some sicko has looked at. This is an article I'm going to share with my digiteen dream team! It is an important one to share!

In January 2009, Alex Couros received an email notice saying that a few of his Flickr photos had been favorited. These particular photos were of his children, mostly of his daughter. Every time this happens, he goes to see who the Flickr user is, and most of the time, it is a family member, a close friend, or someone he know through Twitter (or other social network). He did not recognize the user in this particular case, and when he went to see their photos, the Flickr message alerted him that none of the user's photos were available. Seeing as his photos had been favorited, he went to see what other photos had been marked as favorites by this user.

Like many photographers I enjoy people viewing my pictures, but I don't appreciate people using my images without permission, again by this I don't mean when someone uses my images and gives me proper credit and links back to this site, that is ok and encouraged. What I mean by "without permission" is when they pass it as their own or use it for profit without compensating me and asking for permission.

Two years ago, two of my classmates were the masterminds behind an insidious plot to bully an innocent schoolmate. Her name was Honey. She was obese and had a weird behaviour. Everyone ridiculed her online eccentricities - she would always boast about guys chasing after her. My classmates, Jasmine and her accomplice, Jenny, decided to create an entirely fake Friendster account and use it to 'befriend' their target. They were curious and wanted to know who the guys were as there were no pictures posted in her Friendster profile. It was an attempt to prove if she was fabricating the stories or otherwise....

Bullying is a problem at every level of education. Every school has its own way to address the problem, but are these techniques effective? Do they ever make a deep impression on the students? Does the bullying ever go away? Not Likely. My school is no different from any other; we have implemented programs to combat bullying, but the bullying persists. Then, after experimenting with some new software, I got the idea to make bullying awareness important and exciting for my third-and fourth-grade students by having them create comic strips using Comic Life, one of the new programs available for Macs. With the aid of ready-made templates, word bubbles, pictures, etc. its users easily create a comic strip.
