    This study reviewed two studies and both validated salivary testosterone as a method of testing. The statistical significance was very high. Additionally, they found a 47% decline in testosterone over the study lifespan of a man. So, again, what is the opposition to saliva testing? The only thing I can think of is resistance to change and/or lack of education. As a scientist, neither is acceptable.

    Plasma and salivary cortisol and Testosterone levels correlated in small study that looked at post-training hormones changes in athletes.  Cortisol and Testosterone peaked in all experimental groups.

    this article looks at the use of normalization of testosterone levels in men with CAD.  This study presents the data that low T is associated with increased CAD, yet says more studies needed.  This study should have used salivary testing and been more definitive in their conclusion

    this article looked at normal testosterone rhythm  via saliva.  Normal testosterone peaks in am and is lowest in pm. The normal testosterone rhythm decreases as a man ages.  This is similar results as seen in serum.

    salivary hormone evaluation reveals cortisol increases during athletic  competition due primarily to a increase in salivary cortisol production.  The result is a decrease in T:C ratio during competition.  In the recovery phase, cortisol decreases to baseline, but the testosterone rises above baseline, thus increasing the T:C ratio in the recovery phase.  This lasted up to 5 days in this study.
