Kshatriyas, the economic power with the Vaishyas and Shudras, while the
Brahmins, as custodians and interpreters of Dharma, enjoyed much prestige and
were given many advantages by society, even though they were economically poor.
Practicing Brahmins, were in fact prohibited from owning wealth
