I love the fact that students can point and click but I would also like for students to be able to see the entire timeline spread out. Audacity is free sound editing software. It is open source and there are versions for all operating systems and platforms. Constant improvements and an enormous and very active community of devote followers that offer support makes this tool a favorite of many.

Audacity allows for sounds, songs, and audio files to be recorded and edited. This tool will be useful for workshop participants to add their own voice to pictures and images in a presentation. Its features seemed easier to use than other similar audio editing applications.

With time toast, students can build an interactive timeline of historical information, as well as input information which will help them learn the material with ease. In addition, students are able to input pictures and other data to help them organize an event or procedure.

This is an excellent site to use in organizing information in a Social Studies and Language Arts class on an interactive timelines. In addition to the active line, students will be able to retrieve an outline of the information found on the timeline.

This website contains many types of rubrics to fit every need. It gives sample rubics that are adaptable to meet the needs for various assignments. It even has a collaboration rubric. It is easy to use. Since the rubrics are specifically designed for the online learner, it is best for my purpose than the other sites that are for the face-to-face classroom.

Brief description of what it allows you to do and how it can be used for essential or generative learning: Google sites is great because it is also a free tool that supports collaboration. I actually have to create a portfolio and it is easy to house on a site like this. It is easily accessible. It provides many user friendly functions and can adequately host or be any authentic assessment. Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found (e.g., more effective, creates better products, easier to use, and so on): Highly used and recognized by many people so familiar to audience members. Functions are straightforward and can easily share site for collaboration.

This site allows you to easy create 30 sec clips from uploaded images and record from your cell phone. I like this site because it allows people to create audio even if they do not have access to audio equipment for their computers. The short clips can easily be shared among classmates.

This website allows you to upload photos and record narration. A great way to explain a vision by more than just a picture but telling exactly how you recall it. This can be used as a storyboard for my participants of my workshop in their pre-training activity.

As a former user of TimeGlider, I have experienced its usefulness as a multimedia tool for active cognitive learning. With TimeGlider, the user is able to create an interactive timeline to be designed alone or collaboratively and shared with others. This free tool allows the user to not only control how important an event is based on its size on the timeline, but it also allows the user to link events on the timeline to online videos and to upload pictures to enhance the timeline. The student may begin with an idea of the time period they are creating a timeline for, but they make the choices about what material to include in terms of how many events to include and any extras like videos or pictures. 

Timeglider is web-based timeline software for sharing history and project planning. It can be an interactive guide to users for events like workshops and can be interactive between creator and users for essential and generative purposes. Timeglider is free for limited usage, but then asks for five dollars a month for formidable teacher/student uses. This site is a fine representation of cheap visual technology that gives good visual aid and cognitive understandings of the timeline organization.

This site has it all and at no cost, neither in extraneous processing nor in monetary contribution. It is a very comprehensive site that contains assessment rubrics for every subject including multimedia projects
