Moodle is a open source course management system that allows educators an opportunity to create online websites for students. It can be used to conduct online courses or as a supplement to traditional face-to-face course. Activity modules can be created to build learning networks around particular content or Moodle can be used to be teach and assess learning.
Though there is a learning curve for Moodle, it is very versatile. It can be used for however the user wants to learn it. In addition, there is a huge community of Moodle users who can assist in the creation of your website.

USTREAM allows the user to broadcast live from a computer or a mobile phone. You can create a live video presentation at virtually anytime and anywhere. This could be used to demonstrate learning. At the most basic level, a user could simply talk to the camera about their learning. I think it would be a great tool to have a live broadcast for a learning community to see.
The nice thing about USTREAM is alll you need is an account, a webcam or mobile phone. The videos can be recorded so if the video isn't viewed live, it can be viewed at a later time. I think it is a great and easy way to simulate a live broadcast!

    www.voicethread.com
A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that allows people to navigate slides and add visual media to the presentation. Furthermore, the learner has the ability to leave comments via voice, text, or video. Voicethread can be a great learning tool because of its ability to leave comments to the presentation. I can see this tool being used to see if the learner demonstrated understanding by leaving comments related to the presentation
What I like about voicethread is its ability to integrate it into Moodle. I'm always looking for tools that can be integrated with Moodle. I think this could be a very effective tool to use as a part of Moodle.

    www.prezi.com
Prezi is a presentation sharing software that allows the user to create presentations using a single canvas instead of several slides. Prezi can enhance learning because it can be an engaging tool in comparison to more traditional slide presentations, such as PowerPoint.
What I like about Prezi is that you can add media to a single canvas. It makes it very easy to go back and make edits to the presentation. I've also found, if done correctly, Prezi can be very engaging.

Mindomo is another mindmapping tool that allows you to collaborate with peers. The software allows the user to brainstorm, categorize, and evaluate concepts and ideas. This tool can be used as a learning tool to help describe the stages of a process.
The reason I like this website is because it allows the user to work collaboratively. Also, I like the fact that the software is extremely easy to use and it is visually appealing.

    www.bubbl.us
Bubbl.us allows a user to create a mindmap that organizes ideas and content in a useful way. Bubbl.us can be useful for the learner to help structure their learning prior to gathering the knowledge.
The reason I like using bubbl.us is because it is very user friendly. In addition, the information is stored in the "cloud," so I can edit and view my mindmap from anywhere.

Twitter is an online social networking tool that allows user to create and share messages of 140 characters or less. Twitter is a great tool for gathering information from users that share the same interest or expertise. Twitter can be used as a learning tool for the learner to select which information, which can be numerous, is necessary and unnecessary.
I've found Twitter to be the best source for finding networks that can share valuable resources and information. I've found that I can find information about almost any topic using Twitter.

    www.youtube.com
Youtube allows the user to either create or view videos for viewers. Youtube can serve as an excellent teaching tool by demonstrating or model how something can be done.
I've found YouTube to be the best product for creating videos because it is very easy to create videos as well as embed them in blogs.
