This resource is helful for new bloggers to learn how to use some basic tools in blogging. This site covers how to insert documents or pictures into a blog and different ways to customize you blog. It covers codes used by bloggers to for various different tools and gives a lot of basic helpful information.
This website goes over and adds to some important concepts already covered in chapter 6 of the text. Added to some ideas about repetition different ways to use it and how to create it in text and images. Repetition is key to creating unity and consistency in design which is important when trying to grasp a readers attention.

I liked this website because I have also used it a previous time for balance, so it helps when they continue one from where you were left off. It gives you the chance to see the document being used go through a complete transformation with all of the design elements. They discuss repeating colors and fonts, and then discuss about repeating aesthetics.
This site suggests ways to improve the content, organization, and marketing of your blog. It focuses on making everything user friendly, easily accessible, and keeping it simple (not too many plugins).
Here is another list to help me spark my ideas on how to create a more proficient blog. Some of the options on this list are a bit ridiculous for this class and I couldn't really see myself doing them like hiring other writers. While others like ridding myself of unproductive widgets sounds like such a great way to make space and reduce clutter.I like this one a lot just due to all the suggestions it imposes.
This is a very advanced fashion wordpress blog that I feel like I have the ability to do if I had enough time and HTML/CSS knowledge. The 3 columns/grid make it easy to read.
This is a wordpress.com hosted website and I love the layout of it and how much she personalized it. I would love to be able to work with HTML and more that CSS that wordpress offers to do this!
I like this site because it goes into depth about all the tricks there are to help improve your blog. These are more complicated than basic changes. Some of these include creating a custom login page, and how to display twitter messages in WordPress. You can use these tips and tricks to make a great WordPress blog!
This website is GREAT on how to personalize your Wordpress blog. It shows you how to completely personalize your website by changing the theme, adding widgets, and changing colors.
This site shows how to add widgets to your blog as well as how to embed images and videos in it. This is helpful for this week's assignment since we have to add widgets to our blog.
I felt seeing repetition (the example is towards the bottom of the page) in something apart from a picture or on paper was helpful. Seeing it put to use in the form of landscaping was neat to me.
D6 HW1- Don't be fooled by the Rhythm instead of repetition, this website does talk about using repeating items or patterns to bring unity and motion to the design. This website takes more realistic visual aides as examples. Helping to apply the pronciples of repetition to a busier, and more typical, design.
Seems to be a great resource for design of web pages. Uses some of the same principles as chapter 1. Currently a job duty of mine at work and so this will be a good resource for me in the "real world"
D6 HW 6 - It is easiest to start small. I can do 10 things to get better and so can you. This website gives the top ten things you can do and adds in links for several of the steps to get even more help. A great place to start!
D6 HW6- This website introduced me to the idea of a sneeze page. It gives several resasons and methods for improving a blog. Especially to improve longevity.
In this website it discusses various ways to make your WordPress blog more of an official website. It explains what to do and why such as customizing your own sidebar so it stays consistent. Or adding a deorganizer plug in so your blogs have more clean permalinks.
This website had a lot of good information on what to do and not do with WordPress. It gave me a lot of tips on what to avoid in a blog and what to do to make it more visibly organized. It gives a great way to do forms and use links. It also gave graphics as examples on what to look for.
This photo shows the repetition of color and how i draws attention to the hair of all the women in the crowd. The technique used in this form of repetition was the technique of visually and conceptually related images. The visual aspect is the red hair and fair skin of the women within the photo. The conceptual aspect is all the same hair and skin type people gathering together creates a sense of repetition.
This was my favorite of the sites I visited. This site shows how to design your blog in order to catch the eye of your visitors. It gives the importance as well as examples of how you should have your header, content area, primary nav, secondary nav, headlines, comments, post's footer, footer, and advertisements within your blog to bring it strength. Over all it was very helpful although wordpress does not allow the blogger to edit/customize to this high-detail.
