This is just a timeline of the inventors of photography, and I think it's relevant because if you look - everything is so spread apart. It took YEARS to do, and now with our computer technology, the iPhone comes out with a new model every 6 months!! New editions of cameras and computers are released regularly!
This is an article providing statistics on how new media is weighing out old, traditional forms of media in society. (2010) Twitter, youtube and blogging are taking over traditional press such as newspapers.
This article (full in PDF) is similar to Manovich in where he questions how new media no longer television, it's basically computers. And the differences between the old and new media.
This explains fair use in further detail. It also includes the "fair use four-factor test" where it lists what the courts consider when evaluating what is fair use of a copyright document.
Okay I know the title of this website is funny and maybe inappropriate but I really like the banner and I think it results in great flow throughout the website. The banner is simple but aesthetically pleasing and to-the-point, and the same font is repeated throughout each recipe and the footer.
I really like this blog. I think it has great flow through the list of categories on the right side, it's all very close together. Also, the beginning of each post and/or new topic is bold and pink - this makes it visually appealing and organized.
Well this is an example of BAD flow. There are so many things going on here that I can't get organized. All of the titles are bold throughout the page but very spread out, there is a grid but no flow or organization. On the far left there are categories but that is one small example of flow on the website. Otherwise, I think the NY Times website is too scattered and needs a more consistent flow.
This is a very advanced fashion wordpress blog that I feel like I have the ability to do if I had enough time and HTML/CSS knowledge. The 3 columns/grid make it easy to read.
This is a wordpress.com hosted website and I love the layout of it and how much she personalized it. I would love to be able to work with HTML and more that CSS that wordpress offers to do this!
