Coleman's idea is that higher education is an active pursuit -- a performing art. Her vision calls for lots of one-on-one interactions between professor and student, deep engagement with primary sources, highly individual majors, and the destruction of the traditional academic department. It's a lofty goal that takes plenty of hard work to keep on course.
Digital literacies are those capabilities which fit an individual for living, learning and working in a digital society. Digital literacy looks beyond functional IT skills to describe a richer set of digital behaviours, practices and identities.
More and more clips like this appear on YouTube. Is it worth investing time and effort in preparing such a clip in HE environment where students enrolled in the class already. Maybe a teaser for a lecture or complete Module that is an option. Why not!?

One might say that HE is more than a blogging community but I would say that there are useful tips in this article. Those that we need to think of if we want to engage with our users in blended learning as well.
About.com was there long time before I started working towards my Project. I did not understand how valuable their tips were then. Edited articles by experts short time between the idea and the way to accomplish it.
Do you speak Italian. Even if not try to use this link to inform yourself on possible alternatives to Power Point. Useful for students and us preparing online courses.
If we can not find on the surface why don't we dive deeper. At least that works for me. I have found some interesting tips in this post. It would be useful if I manage to use this in my Project or at least if I open that notion to students using it later on.
When planning online event (webinar or class) engagement letter or invitation makes a difference. Why to shy of sending our students an invitation like this? I might include something along these lines in my Project as well. Watch this space.
When preparing to present data effectively it is worth thinking of audience and your purpose. Try to use this resource for the second bit at least. The first one you should be able to figure yourself.
Psst... Do not tell anyone but I still have not been there. I might go and visit while assembling material for my Project. That would be a nice distraction from my office desk. Any tips on how to use it to the best possible way?
Will we ever get rid of book. Maybe but ebooks are going to stay with us. More green option if nothing else. For digital natives and maybe not for as analogue ancestors :) When building a Project it is worth having information where to get books that you might need in addition to material offered within the course - online of course.
I agree that all of us have preferred way of organizing thoughts, actions and even feelings. Mine is very much in line or en circled by Mind Mapping. It works. Believe me!
