Interesting! As are a number of the papers suggested afterwards which I will bookmark too! As an aside you may be interested in the paper Cass Business School students present to the Moodle Research Conference last year: http://research.moodle.net/mod/data/view.php?d=7&rid=124 One point of interest I'm keen to follow is the possible rise in more student-led studies (at City?) - in this case, both surveying students and by students. I'm also interested in how we could look more at involving learners in the design process.

Paper presented at 2013 Moodle Research conference - part of final year undergraduate research at Cass. I think it's important to look at data directly from students. Can we make them real partners in the design and experience of courses?

This report has been developed as part of our research project Flexible Pedagogies: preparing for the future. Technology-enhanced learning is one of five main focus strands embedded within the theme of flexible learning. It offers a summary and analysis of the current state of play, as well as recommendations for developing robust and appropriate flexible pedagogies with a view to influencing policy, future thinking and change within the rapidly-shifting landscape of learning and teaching in HE.

Very interesting look at the future of academic publishing

Being "new" to research myself I am on the quest for information related to it!

With advocates like Sal Khan and Bill Gates, flipped classrooms are attracting an increasing amount of media and research attention. We had heard Khan's TED talk and were aware of the concept of inverted pedagogies in general. Yet, it really hit home when we accidentally flipped our classroom. Our objective was to better prepare our students for class. We set out to effectively move some of our course content outside of class and decided to tweak the Just-in-Time-Teaching approach (JiTT). To our surprise, this tweak - which we like to call the flip-JiTT - ended up completely flipping our classroom. What follows is narrative of our experience and a procedure that any teacher can use to extend JiTT to a flipped classroom
