anastrozole rarely associated with elevated liver enzymes.

arimidex, also known as anastrozole, is shown to be an effective aromatase inhibitor in men.  These case studies used arimidex to successfully stimulate testosterone production by limiting testosterone to estrogen production.  This was found to be useful in the treatment of gynecomastia.

Study finds that Testosterone therapy in women with breast cancer reduces breast cancer incidence if DHT is the final product. Anastrozole as an AI was added to ensure estradiol was not the final product and DHT was.

aromatase inhibition with anastrozole, in this study, resulted in impaired flow mediated dilation.  No resultant change in inflammatory markers were seen.  Again, my problem with this study is the use of serum for the hormone evaluation.  I would bet not enough aromatase inhibition was provided.

aromatase inhiibition via anastrozole decreased Estradiol and allowed for an increase in Testosterone production.  Estradiol has a negative feedback at both the hypothalamus and the pituitary.

aromatase inhibitor, arimidex (anastrozole), shown to be effective therapy in male infertility in those with high aromatase activity.  The effect was seen through improved Testosterone:Estradiol ratio through aromatase inhibition.

Letrozole has more AI activity than anastrozole.

First, Testosterone pellets are not the way to go.  Historically, these will go the way of all the implantable contraceptive devices.  However, the conclusion of this study is good and confirms the benefit of anastrazole to inhibit aromatase activity and help to maintain Testosterone levels.

Study finds that Testosterone with or with the aromatase inhibitor anastrazole as a pellet reduced breast cancer risk.  This conclusion should be taken with caution.  It is well know that abnormal breast tissue, breast cancer, highly expresses aromatase activity which would increase Testosterone to estradiol production.  This would feed any growing tumor.  But, this study finds protection.  The failure of this study is the measurement of hormone levels.

ER beta expression and the ratio of ER alpha/ER beta is important in prognosis and effectiveness of SERM therapy like tamoxifen.  This study looked at the aromatase inhibitor anastrazole as well.
