This resource is very beneficial for the improvement of sight-reading skills. Users can choose different levels, keys, time signatures, and specific rhythms to help develop sight-reading proficiency. This is a valuable resource for both classroom and private music educators

The Sight Reading Factory generates excerpts of music based on parameters entered by the user. It is especially useful for practicing specific areas of music-reading skills (e.g. bass clef, odd-meters, difficult rhythms), or reinforcing general concepts of reading traditionally-notated music. While the site is good for the practice of mechanics, one might argue that robotically-created music is less useful for the development of musicality (or that computer-composed music isn't "music" at all). Excerpts can be generated for individuals singing or playing instruments, or for ensembles. There is also a section for solfege pattern practice. This resource creates sheet music excerpts for reading practice, without much regard to form or structure--it does not generate full works of literature for performance.

The digital audio workstation has become a mainstay for music production because of both the software's accessible, yet ultra-powerful interface, which can be used by both novices, all the way to studio professionals.

This software is a big production, and is something that i use a lot personally. This software will give you the ability to do anything you may need to do. The purpose of this resource would be to show more advanced student more features on how to create, record, mix, and master. This is a more in depth software for more professional users. This would be a software that i would use to implement with more advanced students, who have used other software's.

This podcast has a technology focus and puts out weekly episodes. There are over 73 episodes with topics that vary from apps to websites to equipment.

The Music Tech Teacher Podcast hosted by Katie Wardrobe has become one of my favorite podcasts. I am teaching music technology for the first time this year and various episodes regarding productivity for music teachers and using technology such as iPads in the classroom are extremely helpful.

This software is a easy way for students to make, create, compose, their own music. The purpose of this source would be to help student come up with creative ways to make music, using a famous interface call Ableton push. It makes it easy for the composer to create loops, and other things using this software. It comes with many features, like effects, vocals, built in instruments, and loops. There is more than enough tools for the composer to use, to create different types of music.

This is the page for the Nations Association for Music Education. This site is full of information for teachers and students alike on the national level. Music research and advocacy information is also available. NAFME was formerly called MENC.

NAFME is a vital resource for music educators. This website provides communication and collaboration via forums, lesson plans, standards, frequently posted articles, and even more resources for music educators of all varieties. It is an excellent way to stay involved in the music education community, and it continuously strives to improve the state of music education nation-wide.

This website provides a multitude of tools for music teachers, among other subjects. The website contains lesson plans and teaching strategies for grades K-12. There are lessons on world music, on instruments (such as building instruments), as well as the history of musical genres. The free version is limited, but the premium version is fairly inexpensive.

Resource for UF Masters of Music Education. This site is helpful in planning lessons for application of new ideas. I love that it has something to offer every teacher from grades K-12.

I use this website sometimes to help out with some of my lesson plans if I'm in need of worksheets to help back up the topic that is chosen for that particular week. This is good for any teacher because it provides a variety of different worksheets for many topics.

The Rhythm Trainer is a simple flash-based game that reinforces rhythm concepts. Students can either enter the rhythm that they hear, or choose the correct audio that matches the rhythm they see. Each example is four beats long, and there are a limited number of rhythms available. Students can select any or all of the 8 rhythms available to practice. Results can be emailed to the student's teacher.

The Rhythm trainer is another great source for helping students learn the principles of ear training. Teachers can load listening examples of varying rhythmic figures which students can respond to picking the examples they think best fit. Students can choose two modes of rhythm training which either provide them with choices for answers or require them build their answers based on the specific rhythms they are being trained on. The Rhythm Trainer does require the use Adobe Flash Player in order to play the examples but can be great for anyone teaching or learning the very basics developing good ear training skills.

This is a great tool to have to teach students rhythm. I use this to teach my private students to strengthen their ability to read rhythm. They find this website quite fun, and they enjoy all of the practices in which assign.

Voice instructors, especially those just starting out, tend to have trouble finding places to take their students to showcase their talents. NATS is an organization designed specifically for that purpose. It provides information for their events, the opportunity to find vocal coaches, and vocal literature that would enhance any instructor's library.

An all-encompassing website for choral directors in the United States. Provides information regarding competitions, professional development, instruction and many other areas. Journals inform teachers of latest news in the field of vocal teaching.

The purpose of the resource is to provide singing teachers multiple resources and professional development. NATS is an organization geared towards private lesson and studio teachers who work in a variety of settings and teach a variety fo students. Membership is costly but resource include access to journals and ability to register students for scholarship competitions.

This official website for the Gordon Music Learning Theory provides many core principles and philosophies centered around this theory, professional development opportunities, and accessible links for music teachers to join an area chapter.

Percussive Arts Society provides countless files, resources and recordings for your aspiring percussionists as well as percussion classes to provide quality instruction. The Percussive Arts Society is also a membership and subscription service as well as providing a annual conference across the country. 

The Percussive Arts Society is the largest organization for percussionists and drummers from all over the world. Becoming a member grants access to an extensive archive of videos, publications, and articles related to percussion pedagogy, performance, etc. PASIC, the international convention hosted by PAS, is a multi-day event featuring percussionists and lecturers as well as networking opportunities.

The Percussive Arts Society website provides several resources for music educators. There are magazine subscriptions available as well. This site can help not only percussionists, but non-percussionist educator who are looking to find help in teaching percussion.

This is an online site for ear training. It has tests covering intervals, chords, scales, cadences etc.

For teachers who want to help their students improve their ear-training skills, Good-Ear is a great and easy-to-use website that focuses entirely on this topic. This resource has a simple layout and allows its users to train their aural skills on anything from intervals and chords to harmonic progressions. Teachers who are just beginning to introduce this skill to their students can also find use in the beginner level training exercises. Good-Ear is free and can easily be used by not only teachers, but also students who have access to an electronic device and internet source.

This is great tool to develop an ear for music. It has all of the qualities and the features to be able to help the student become a stronger performer. Being able to hear is very important when it comes to music. What I love mostly about this training tool, it strengthens your ability to enhance perfect pitch.

Best Practices for Children's Choir is a podcast with Matthew Parker discussing his best practices when working with a children's choir. The discussion content ranges from choosing music to engaging in warm-ups. Matthew also shares his favorite octavos, composers/arrangers, warm-ups, and tips when choosing music. This is very useful information and a great resource to use when working with your elementary and/or middle school choir.

This is a famous popular website and also app, that i use to teach my private students. This is a great way to practice reading music, ear training and knowing knowledge of different type of topics in music theory. This website and app has definitely made me a stronger musician through my undergraduate years. The purpose of this website is to provide practice of musical content, to help strength the mindset in many areas.
