Zoom products are some of the best recording devices on the market. These could help from recording a student to a full ensemble. The recorders also balance the recording and are very user friendly. I have used these on many occasion professionally and will in the future. There is also free app for most smart phones that will do just as good of job as purchasing a recorder.

The woodwind fingering guide is the best resource for finding specific fingering charts for every woodwind instrument.  The woodwind fingering guide provides multiple fingerings for every note and specific fingering charts for every instrument relating to alternate fingerings, trill fingerings, and other extended techniques.  This resource is excellent for students who are starting a new instrument or wish to learn new notes.

This site has in depth fingering charts for each woodwind instrument. There are handy trill and tremolo fingerings. Also, there are alternate fingerings when pitch issues need to be corrected. This is not an updated site or pretty by any means, but it gets the job done and is a good resource for instrumental teachers.

It provides links and contact information for initiatives, such as advocacy, and mentorship. It also provides resources for various professional development opportunities, as well as lists music education job openings in the area.

The National Association for Music Education website is an incredible resources for all music educators.  On this site, users can access articles published by fellow educators and professors on an array of topics.  Users can also gain insight on lesson planning, upcoming events, career opportunities, and access to a community of music educators.  Research studies published through NAfME provide valuable information for students to read and analyze.  Students can access valuable resources, discover music events, and gain information regarding auditions.

Choralia offers part rehearsal tracks for a wide selection of choral repertoire. Most of it is Baroque/Classical/Romantic era rep, but there is a good selection of newer works as well (Gjeilo, Lauridsen, Rutter). Sound quality is a little funky, but they do the job.

The discussion content ranges from choosing music to engaging in warm-ups. Matthew also shares his favorite octavos, composers/arrangers, warm-ups, and tips when choosing music. This is very useful information and a great resource to use when working with your elementary and/or middle school choir.

ACDA homepage focuses on choral singing techniques and pedagogy associated with teaching choir. A membership in ACDA and log in is necessary to access parts of this site.

This website is a massive resource for anyone involved with choir. On top of resources galore and peer to peer capabilities, it has a full community and forums to help enhance the prospective uses of this website. This website is at least tied to ACDA, if not run by it.

Texas Music Educators Association website has great information about music education advocacy. Members can access clinics and handouts that support music education.

This is the official ACDA website. You can find information about conferences, as well as access resources and connect with colleagues. If you teach choir, being a member of ACDA is a must.

The purpose of this resource is wide and varied. Not only does this resource provide choral music educators with a professional development community but also looks at a range of topic regarding singing both in the individual and choral setting. Membership in this organization does cost a fee but there are many benefits for music educators who teach choir.
