"Wikispaces Classroom is a social writing platform for education. We make it incredibly easy to create a classroom workspace where you and your students can communicate and work on writing projects alone or in teams. Rich assessment tools give you the power to measure student contribution and engagement in real-time. Wikispaces Classroom works great on modern browsers, tablets, and phones."

Ciao, Fabrizio!

Partners in Learning - Professional development : windows in the classroom - 3 views

  •
"The Windows in the Classroom Seminar is a series of videos that show real world examples of how software and devices can be used to enhance the learning experience. It is recommended that the entire seminar be viewed in one sitting. However, if you wish to complete Windows in the Classroom over multiple visits, you can close a video at any time. When you return, this seminar will pick up where you left off. At the end of this series you will be asked to take a short survey and awarded a Windows in the Classroom online learning badge. If you have chosen to make your profile public, you can proudly display this achievement for other Partners in Learning members to see."

MY FLIPPED CLASSROOM by Crystal Kirch on Prezi - 5 views

For Teachers, Wired Classrooms Pose New Management Concerns - Liana Heitin, Edweek.org,... - 2 views

  •
"By Liana Heitin (...) In a growing number of K-12 schools, the use of 1-to-1 computing devices-including iPads, laptops, and Chromebooks-is becoming a central part of instruction. For teachers making the digital leap, one of the greatest hurdles can be figuring out how to manage the tech-infused classroom. How do you keep kids, who suddenly have the Internet at their fingertips, on task? How do you ensure the devices are safe and well-maintained? And how do you compete with your most tech-savvy students? (...)"I think this is the new frontier frankly with classroom management. We've never confronted this," said Kyle Redford, a 5th grade teacher at Marin Country Day School in Corte Madera, Calif. "

Common Core & Ed Tech: Symbaloo for Classroom Curation - 1 views

  •
"Symbaloo for Classroom Curation One of the challenges of having online tech tools for your students is finding a way to manage them.  Do you use a tool that bookmarks them in one place, giving students easy access?  I've tried a number of curation tools, and always come back to Symbaloo.  Symbaloo allows you to set up a "web mix" of tiles, each tile linking to your favorite websites.  You can colorize the tiles, add short titles, and even a small image.  You can then post the link on your class's web page for all to access. "

Info for Parents - The Flipped Class - 2 views

Coursera.org Blended learning - 1 views

  •
"This course is focused on the potential of blended learning to transform the way we setup classrooms and schools.  We are not focused on simply putting computers into classrooms or layering technology on top of the existing system.  This course focuses on the highest-quality blended learning we have seen so far, and schools that are working to get closer to the golden ideal of every student getting exactly what they need, when they need it.  We'll cover the basics of blended learning and then move quickly into all the implications for the role of the student, the role of the teacher, and the implications for how we design and run our schools. "

Zombie-Based Learning -- "Braaaaaaains!" | Edutopia Andrew Miller 2013-05-17 - 2 views

  •
"And so it begins... Zombie-Based Learning! David Hunter You read that correctly: Zombie-Based Learning. When I started learning about it, my inner geek squealed with joy. I've always loved zombies. I've watched all the movies and even read the original Walking Dead Comics before it became a hit series in the classroom. One Teacher's Curriculum Geography has always been a learning target for social studies teachers, and David Hunter, who teaches at Bellevue, Washington's Big Picture School, decided to create a curriculum using Kickstarter as its funding source. He sought to make geography relevant through engaging scenarios and stories with a zombie theme tying it all together. The whole curriculum is standards-based and includes over 70 lessons where students must "consider how to duck the undead invasion, secure their supplies and, eventually, rebuild society" through a variety of activities, worksheets and discussions. (...) English and Language Arts (...) Science (...) Math (...)" Categoria: Project-Based Learning
