Ho aperto lo scorso anno quattro ambienti di studio in Wikispaces, uno per ognuna delle mie classi che, anche se in misura diversa, hanno reagito molto positivamente, collaborando ed aprendo nuove pagine su argomenti scolastici, ma anche relative ai loro interessi,. e mettendo a disposizione dei compagni materiali e manufatti virtuali. :) M. Mi piacerebbe visitare le tue pagine, sono pubbliche? Io in effetti ho usato wikispaces fin ad ora a titolo personale http://limfab.wikispaces.com/ ,prima di passare più o meno tutto il materiale del wiki al sito web http://limfabweb.weebly.com/ (nella assurda illusione di completare qualcosa...) e appena potrò (famosa frase...) mi riprometto anche di ritornarci su. Come wiki per le classi ho usato invece Pbworks http://fabriziobartoliworkspace.pbworks.com/w/page/63273860/FrontPage, sopratutto l'anno passato, cercando di integrarlo con Google apps/drive che uso come piattaforma principale di condivisione. Ho incrociato qualche webinar su wikispaces classroom e così mi è venuta voglia di provare anche questo. Magari possiamo trovare il modo di usare qualche pagina insieme, con qualche classe, anche se all'atto non ho idea di cosa insegni (io insegno inglese scuola media)...

Non si tratta di video disinteressati: sono un lungo spot commerciale sull'uso del Notebook di Windows "One Note". Con magnifici software, per carità... ma molto, molto proprietari. Microsoft, insomma. Quindi se siete dei patiti della ditta, potete sorbirvi i 45 minuti di spot con dimostrazione dei (raffinati, in verità) software, altrimenti lasciate perdere... Tanto più che per vedere i video suddetti, dovete lasciare un sacco di vostre informazioni e fare un questionario finale (sono proprio fissati con i badge, questi statunitensi!)

Suggerimenti interessanti su come assicurarsi che gli allievi facciano quel che devono fare in classe con aggeggi web-connessi anziché lasciarsi trascinare da altre cose. Ma si tratta proprio di una "nuova frontiera" per gli insegnanti? In tempi pre-web, era lo stesso quando mandavi gli allievi a far ricerca in biblioteca, o gli facevi fare lavoro di gruppo sul prato della scuola, no?

Aggiungo solo questo: che se si va a scuola per lavorare in modalità 1-to-1, tanto valeva restarsene a casa, no? Va bene per brevi periodi di tempo e per scopi precisi, ma altrimenti la scuola è preziosa per comunicare con l'insegnante o lavorare a coppie o in gruppo. Socializzare e costruire la comunità, insomma.

Anche C. Kirch (docente di matematica, scuola superiore) è incredibilmente organizzata e spiega dettagliatamente cos'è la "flipped classroom". Il video introduttivo ha una versione sottotitolata in spagnolo (sotto quella in inglese). Raccomando però di dare un'occhiata anche alla lettera introduttiva ai genitori: in fondo ci sono i criteri di valutazione (tipicamente americani), che trovo utili per un confronto con il nostro sistema.

One Teacher's Curriculum Geography has always been a learning target for social studies teachers, and David Hunter, who teaches at Bellevue, Washington's Big Picture School, decided to create a curriculum using Kickstarter as its funding source.
