Learners use web browsers to research information and communications tools such as e-mail or discussion boards. Tools such as word processing and spreadsheets are used to display data and share what we have learned in written form. Scott, Great comments about needing to test the tools prior to utilizing them within a course. Sounds like this could be made into a course itself - Web 2.0 Tools 101! Assignments could be for students to use, test, and evaluate the tools for their effectiveness, reliability, and ease of use.
