This site offers a wealth of information and many great resources for teachers interested in using digital media for storytelling and other activities.  There are a number of very good, clear, screencast tutorials for teachers to use. Preview a few to see if you might be able to use them with your classes. I thought they were great for high school students, and they inspired me to think about creating my own screencasts for other tutorials! :-)

It's never too late to start working with students on digital citizenship, though! :-)

Google Expeditions are field trips with a virtual reality twist. Last spring, Hector Camacho guided his high school economics class on comprehensive tours of the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve banks, and the Treasury Building. Students swept their eyes up countless Neoclassical columns before heading inside for a detailed look -- all without leaving the library of their Mountain View, California school.

There is a great deal of enthusiasm for the use of games in formal educational contexts; however, there is a notable and problematic lack of studies that make use of replicable study designs to empirically link games to learning (Young, et al., 2012). This paper documents the iterative design and development of an educationally focused game, Compareware in Flash and for the iPad. We also report on a corresponding pilot study of 146 Grades 1 and 2 students playing the game, a paper and pencil related activity and completing a pre- and post-test. The paper outlines preliminary findings from the play testing, which included high levels of student engagement, an approaching statistical improvement from pre- to post-test, and a discussion of the improvements that needed to be made to the game following the pilot study.

Great little site with financial literacy lessons for students of all ages. Good tips for teachers as well.
