A new educational software program being implemented this year in our schools' extended day program is Kids College. This program is through a company named Learning Through Sports. LTD helps students with literacy, math and science. It is an adaptive program that works at each students level. Teachers do not always have the time to differentiate instruction. This program adapts to the students level and works on the gaps in their knowledge. The way the program works is that it motivates the students using their competitive nature. Student chose a team and the sport they want to play. The level they are working on is independent of their contribution to the success of the team. The team succeeds as long as the student succeeds. After answering questions they move through the levels by participating in the sport of their choice. The sports they students can play are: basketball, snowboard, golf, foosball, hockey, rugby or baseball. The video games have wonderful graphics which are attractive to the players. The program is aligned with the state standards and the common core standards. It provides reports of students success for teachers, students and parents.

The Best Practice Web site provides information to help college leaders develop innovative solutions to challenges which face their institutions. The Web site may be utilized to learn about new techniques, improve processes, create new programs, make current programs more effective and enhance outreach. This site also offers an opportunity for users to access information on successful programs/strategies and share knowledge. The Extended Day Program is a before and after school enrichment program designed to enhance children's lives cognitively, socially, culturally, emotionally, and physically in a safe and engaging environment

This is a free on line learning program. Students can practice math and reading. Teachers can keep track of students progress, communicate with students on the program and provide homework Parents can also monitor students progress and communicate with the teacher.

We need this type of program for young men all over the world. We tend to forget about helping the troubled kids.

The Broward County School District has a designated website for parents call PARENT INVOLVEMENT. This is great website for parents within the Broward County school district to use as a quick condense reference guide to get and stay info with what's going on in this school district. This website also provides an abundance of valuable resources ranging from ways for parent to get involve in their child's schooling, school policies, academic info, and supportive services to things as Teen Parent Program, health education, and preventive programs from substance abuse, etc.

The Flagship program is a wonderful program that each school writes grants and also get community support in the topic they choose. Rymfire Elem. has a medical lab that Flagler Hospital is activity involved in.

Those who have worked within New Student Programs and Orientation know that summers are not a time for vacation or downtime. The months of June and July stacked tightly, back to back, with transition programs for new students and their families.

Online Degree Programs at Public Schools in Florida

Florida Virtual Campus provides access to online student and library support services, and to serve as a statewide resource and clearinghouse for technology-based public postsecondary education distance learning courses and degree programs.

Internship Supervisors--CET refers to programs that provide teachers-in-training with practical and skills-oriented instruction under the supervision of a skilled practitioner. CET is required for all school district personnel and instructional personnel who supervise or direct teacher preparation students during field experience courses or internships.
