A four slide introduction to diigo as a research tool. This does good job of explaining the concept of social bookmarking while highlighting various features of diigo. I've found that many struggle to grasp the foundation concept of social bookmarking. I think this overview will help answer basic questions for many new users. Of particular use to me as an online teacher is this slide style orientation that can be used to introduce someone to diigo as part of the account creation process. (The slides end with a sign up button.) If you're a new diigo user, this orientation will point out new features and put things in context. If you haven't yet tried Diigo, this is the way to get started.

This quaint old technology is great for teaching logs, powers, and scales - includes a bit of history and a pdf template for a paper slide rule.

Slides offers an interesting twist on the online presenter genre... literally. The presentation can roll in many directions like a virtual cube allowing multi-track presentations. Presentation Tube is a service that teachers and students can use to record, share, and watch presentations. Presentation Tube provides a free desktop tool (Windows only) that you can use to record a video of yourself talking over and drawing on slides. The Presentation Tube recorder automatically synchronizes your PowerPoint slides with your voice. The free recording tool allows you to record for up to 15 minutes. Your completed recording can be uploaded directly to Presentation Tube. 

A visual example of why teachers, whether in K-12 OR higher education might want to re-think their own use of PowerPoint slide shows. What she does not say, but probably should, is that any slide show should probably have only about 25% of the material that will be presented.
