I wonder what the demographic for this data is? I looked all over, and even downloaded the pdf report from Experian Simmons, but I couldn't find any data on the population surveyed. I find the data in this report in conflict with data from Pearson survey (http://www.slideshare.net/PearsonLearningSolutions/pearson-socialmediasurvey2010) that surveyed just higher education. I am guessing Experian is surveying a much larger population, and as such, is giving us skewed information? I wonder if we will ever know?

"Name-calling, hair pulling or cyberbullying: About a tenth of adolescents across the globe have been the victim of psychological or physical violence from classmates at least once in their lives. A new study carried out by researchers at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) has shown that victims and their perpetrators both suffer as a result of these attacks: They are more inclined to consume alcohol and tobacco, are more likely to complain of psychosomatic problems and their chances of having problems with their social environment increase, too. In the scientific journal "Children and Youth Services Review", the researchers plead for prevention programmes to place more emphasis on cohesion within the classroom."

"As I stood in the school hall, during an assembly on National Languages Day, I felt such pride, but equally astonishment at how the children had embraced the task of saying hello in as many languages as possible. I watched in amazement as the 34th child stood up in front of the school to share his knowledge of yet another greeting from a different country. I don't know whether it was the sheer volume of children or their confidence whilst standing in front of the school and speak a different language that struck me most, but whatever it was, made me reflect on how I had come to be in this moment."
