Hi again class! Pay attention! This is one of the most useful pages that we will find on the web about classroom management! Here we will find 5 sections with different activities. For example, we would like to highlight the section of Rules and behavior. I found an interesting article on lesson planning. This article gives us some guidelines and interesting things to think about when planning a lesson such as the grammar knowledge and its effect on fluency. They pay a lot of attention to the importance of fluency activities, something that hasn´t come forward in our classes and that is not taken into account very often in the classroom. And fluency is exactly the reason why we are teaching/learning foreign languages. Fluency is what students need to be able to communicate with native speakers or speakers from other countries.

This is another interesting game that stresses that children have to look at the small details. It can be played individually, in pairs or in teams but usually, it is played in pairs. Pair-work offers intensive, realistic practice promoting a friendly classroom ambiance in which multiplies the opportunity to practice the language. It is an efficient way of spending classroom time. I strongly recommend you to use it in the class!

Hi class: This is a about Storytelling. Storytelling is an art that has mental, social and educational benefits on children. People of all ages love stories. Children are great fans of stories and love to listen to them. Storytelling literally means reading out stories to them or just telling a story from the memory to them. I think this is an important resource for teaching EFL.

Hello everyone! This article is about the Artigal's Method. It is based on short stories that promote communication in the English language throughout staging. Each short story, adapted to the level of the class, presents different didactic material that, by means of characters and their actions, makes children learn without realising it. So, what was senseless for kids at the beginning is at the end something that has sense in the English language, using the English words they have listened, memorized and learned.

This article discusses different types of assessment and recognizes the importance of affective considerations for the acquisition of a foreign or second language.

I find this article quite interesting, especially the last part that talks about the portfolio. I think that the author explains briefly and simply in what it consists. On the other hand, I agree with the writer's conclusions. I strongly believe that we must use various assessment tools in the classroom of FL in order to be as objective as possible and to develop all the skills and abilities of the student. As we have just seen in class the exam tests serves for the memory capacity but does not encourage critical thinking and autonomy on the part of the learner. Thank you so much for sharing it!

This article emphasizes the need for teachers to use a variety of types of alternative assessments. I think it could be quite useful to remind us the different techniques of assessment that we can do and the most important thing: they can be used every day in our class. We have to start to discard the traditional tests that only indicated us a numerical description about our students. In our future we are going to be teachers so we have to be aware of the different kind of assessment to take them into practice. Rather useful the article.

As we have talked in our classes, we can use different materials or tools in order to attend all types of intelligences because all people are different in different ways. We have to take into account the needs and interests of our pupils, we must be flexible teachers. I want to highlight one of the statements of Gardner that, to my mind, defines exactly what we have to do in the practice. "It's very important that a teacher take individual differences among kids very seriously. The bottom line is a deep interest in children and how their minds are different from one another, and in helping them use their minds well." Hi classmates! This is my second contribution in diigo. Last week we had an exhibition of storytelling. One of the stories that the professional told us was "the very hungry caterpillar", written by Eric Carle. I strongly believe that tell our students this story could be very useful, especially because it contains lots of interesting vocabulary. Here, in this page, you can find plenty of activities that will reinforce the vocabulary learnt by the students. As we have seen this weeks in the university, English classroom is dominated by the textbook. It decides what we have to do in the classroom. Nevertheless, we can use a lot of resources in order to produce intrinsic motivation in our pupils. I consider that storytelling can be a good learning tool because it promotes among other things, creativity and imagination. Furthermore, if we use stories in class, we will encourage the development of language among students. Good evening people! I want to show you an interesting article. This is a very complete article about Total Physical Response. I have searched about this topic, because was one of the most attractive contents that we learnt the last year. In this article we can see all about TPR, why we must to apply it in young children, what is TPR, its main characteristics, advantages and there are even examples to develop this method in class, linked to storytelling. With this method, children can learn by a motivate and dynamic way, as you already know. Only with a friendly environment, some coloured cards and the leading of the teacher, the pupils can enjoy much.

Hello again group, we have learn a lot about Gardner,s theory of multiple intelligences. Maybe as i think, this are one of the most interesting points we have seen in my opinion we must take in account every day that our pupils are completely different. I post this article because is important to share our knowledge with others who are not in english mention. Hi Miriam! Thank you very much for sharing this page with us, I think that this information can complement the contribution that I done last week that talked about Multiples Intelligences too. This page can help us for a better understanding of each of the multiple intelligences. I consider that reading this document can help us in order to know what kind of intelligences prevail in some of the activities that we do in class (very useful for the portfolio). I believe that the intelligence is more prevalent in my is the naturalistic, because since childhood I've loved animals and nature.
