      Re http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/can-not-highlight-text-at-http-www-openlinksw-com-45734 I used Diigo 3.1.6.13 in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10 to make a highlight then stick this note.
  •
A separate bug: highlights and sticky notes made using Diigo 3.1.6.13 in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10 are not shown in Diigolet 3.1b523.
  •
Bug not limited to highlights and sticky notes; page comments made using Diigo 3.1.6.13 in Firefox are not visible in Diigolet 3.15b23.

IE 8 and sticky notes not playing well together | Diigo - 0 views

  • diigo TB works except stickies
    • Graham Perrin

Test in relation to http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/ie-8-and-sticky-notes-not-playing-well-together-44793 Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 Windows XP Service Pack 3 Diigo Toolbar beta 3.1.22 1. highlighted text 2. Add an inline sticky note 3. Add Comment menu | Diigo Community 4. OK
  • A first click on the speech bubble icon, in the Sticky Notes window, fails
    • Graham Perrin

This bug does not affect the first note stuck to a highlight. (The Add Comment dialogue appears by default in that situation.)
  • A second click on the same icon presents the Add Comment dialogue

Tell Me About Diigo - Scribkin - 0 views

  • People Like Me – This will analyze your recent bookmarks and annotations, and list people based on similarity
  • When I tried this, no one listed was higher than 6% compatible

I, too, found that percentages were low in all cases. Maybe 15% at highest? Hard to recall exactly, it was months ago. Some discussion at http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/common-bookmarks-42541

6 Ways to Turn Diigo Into a Traffic Booster - 3 views

  • If you haven’t heard of Diigo yet, it’s high time you took a look and made use of what they have to offer. They define themselves as a powerful research tool and a knowledge-sharing community. I believe their promise is backed up by the features they offer: bookmarking, annotations, clippings and the possibility to share everything you come across with others.
  • Diigo is not your average social network. Given its strong focus on effective research, most users are there to keep tracks of the domains they’re keen on. Unless you are able to create tons exquisite content on quite a few hot tags of Diigo, just bookmarking your own articles won’t get you very far.
  • So what other ways are there to use Diigo as a traffic generator?
  • ...8 more annotations...
  • 1. Pay attention to your profile
  • 2. Be an active user
  • 3. Build new relationships based on common interests
  • 4. Find your friends
  • 5. Engage peers in meaningful conversations
  • 6. Avoid the temptations of selfishness
  • Traffic should never be the only goal of your joining a certain community.
  • Comparing notes, getting relevant feedback or ideas, being part of a group effort, these can be equally rewarding. Targeted traffic is however what you get in return for your contribution to the community. That said, your best tools to get the most out of Diigo are respect for others, helpfulness, attention to details and constant learning.

Kinda Learning Stuff: Delicious vs. diigo - 2 views

  • It does the things you didn't realise you wanted Delicious to do, but now you've got a taste for those features, you don't really want to go back...
  • Diigo... me like! Have a look... see if you find Delicious slightly less delicious after using Diigo for a couple of weeks!
  •
Nice article. Side note about Diigo URLs. Couldn't Diigo truncate everything to the right of the '?' in URL references when it stores it in the database? Its going to be pulling from the same HTML resource, so shouldn't the annotations and Diigo bookmarks point to the same location?
