Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been about Environment. I remember my Math Teacher talking about it during his math class, but I didn't have a good explanation on what he really meant. Lately, the issue had caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that why is the environment important to the world and us? From what I have heard many scientist say that we need to have the environment clean. For example I hread that if we dont keep the environment clean we are destryoing ourselves. Now that's what I have heard, it may or may not be true. On thing that I know for sure about Environment is that it's what we live in and we need to make the best of it. Now I've studied my share of Biology and I believe that the Environment is caused by the smokes and other stuff that damages the world. Personally that's what I know and it may sound kind of funny but hey that's what ever one says. The most important about this topic is that Environment is what it keeps us on this world. Right now, I'm learning about Women's Rights in different countries. I actually don't know a place from the top of my head that doesn't have equality for women. It makes me think how would my life be different today, if I was in one of those countries with no equality at all for women. I really think it would be really horrible and I can't imagine not having equality. It's like a nightmare almost... "The female football players in Bamyan have various plans for the future, from teacher to doctor, translator to painter. Once she completes her education, for example, Shekeba plans to become a police officer - "because so far, the policemen in Bamyan are not helping women when it is needed," she explains. " The quote I chose here is basically saying that Afghanistan doesn't have equality for women. The young girl here who says that women are not being helped by policemen is really interesting. I never thought they wouldn't...since police are suppose to...help everyone. I guess it just shows that women's equality is really important. I hope that women's rights is established in that country and others. I would take effort and it's little girls like that who dream to become something for the benefit of others that issues like this will be solved.

I'm learning more about Girls/ Womens empowerment right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about this is how can you empower women or girls. I was researching this question online i came across this article. It caught my attention because the title is 'Promoting girls' empowerment through sport in Afghanistan.' It caught my attention because the title pretty much speaks for it's self. Girls can in fact be empowered through sports! This sparked my interest and so i began reading it. "Participation in sport is a critical part of any child's physical and social development, especially for girls. Sport can help to improve their self-esteem and self-awareness," says Dr. Atiqullah Amiri of UNICEF's Outpost Bamyan. "Sport teaches integrity and self-management by setting objective standards that girls can work to achieve." The quote I chose here is basically saying that sports can be a very big part of someones life. Sports can improve your overall self in many different ways. The ways in which are spoke about here is helping girls. It can improve their self-esteem and self-awareness, self-management and i believe it can build up great skills that can be put to use in everyday lives. Skills like team work, responsibility and so on. I think this is an very important fact. Sports can in fact help girls. It makes me wonder how powerful something can be, and how it can change something or someone like a sport. Like what is spoken about in this article.

This is a detailed article about lucid dreaming and how fun it is for a person to experience it. Being able to lucid dream is like entering another dimension where weird is normal and life is extraordinary. I've never actually experienced lucid dreaming, but what I do know that Lucid dreaming is one of the funnest experiences a person can enjoy. However, if those people actually knew how it felt to be lucid dreaming, wouldn't they have the urge to go to sleep every night? It will be like an adventure waiting for you...Some people may be unhappy with their lives, but with the help of lucid dreaming, anything you want is possible ! ( in your dreams of course) So you're probably wondering, does everyone have the ability to lucid dream?Well yes of course ! I am learning more about autistic children right now, and in particular what I'm wonder is why is there a sudden raise in such case. How is it that more and more children are becoming diagnosed at a much younger age? What is causing this? I was researching this question online, and this blog that I found in Kid Glue called "Autism Now Affects 1 in 100 Children" caught my attention because that shows that autism is affecting more and more children each year. I decided to choose this to read because I'm currently reading a book called "The curious incident of the dog in the night" and it is written first person by an autistic boy named Christopher. Reading the book really sparked my interest in learning about autism and how it affects not just children, but people in general. "Disorders like this are very bothersome to me. I have a friend whose son is Autistic and it is very challenging." This was a quote that I found from the article. I chose this quote because it shows us how challenging it really is to be around an autistic person. People with autism have to be dealt with care and patience. I recommend this article because you can learn a thing or to if you ever come across a person whose diagnosed with autism.

I'm learning more about "Life on Mars" right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: Is there life on Mars? I was researching this question online, and this blog caught my attention because It said that there is a possibility that bacteria could live on Mars. I thought this discovery was ground breaking, and I thought that nothing could live on Mars. "The question of whether life in the form of bacteria (or something even more exotic!) exists on Mars is hotly debated, and still requires a resolute yes or no. Experiments done right here on Earth that simulate the conditions on Mars and their effects on terrestrial bacteria show that it is entirely possible for certain strains of bacteria to weather the harsh environment of Mars." The quote I chose here is basically saying certain bacteria may be able to survive on Mars, but this is only inferred after a series of experiments, conducted on Earth. I think this is interesting because it makes me wonder if Humans will ever be able to live on Mars, or if anything does exist there, or if anything exists even outside of earth. I first read this and thought, "wow!" this is really amazing. I continued reading and found out that it was not completely true. All of these experiments were conducted on earth, but the test(s) simulated to be like the terrain on Mars. I began wondering why don't they just attempt to place the bacteria, I am sure on less person wouldn't affect the population that badly. I know that is a bit harsh but I don't care.

this is my favroite podcast of all. because i been playing this game for a week and yes indeed i agree is highly addictive. is way too good i cant get it off my mind. i cant really do my home work because i keep on playing this game however now i try to keep my balance between these games i try to be better at studying and playing the game at the same time hopefully i wont be one of those guys who play games all day well i mean i wont play games all day to turn into one of those because i know that plying mmorpg game is an orpg game and i play like crazy so hopefully i will stop playing because i do feel that i pay too much warcraft even though is jsut my forst week. is amazingly addictive and i regret buying the game because now i'm additected to the game hopefully i can be off the game soon well not completely off the game like remeber to play and study but not to remind myself to play everyday. is a great game im a current warlock who kills moster who are higher than my level. i soon have to take math b in jan and i need to start study soon so im goign to be studying and playing at the same time i though that this is a way to improve myself to be a better person and move foward because i know that i have to learn more knowledge each day in order to be a better human being i'm going to try and learn more everyday along with balanceing the games in so mixture of both would be a great combnation studying while playing games. thank you for looking at my thing because this is probally the one podcast that i like the most and it made me reliaard how hard i fell into teh game on the first week.

I'm learning more about Copenhagen conferences right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is :''Why is the Copenhagen conferences so important? i was researching this question online,and this blog post caught my attention because the title of the blog is Obama's remake at the unit nation climate change conference,and i saw why this conference is important, because the people that join the conference is all the leadership of their country around the word. "Climate change will pose unacceptable risks to our security, our economies, and our planet. Climate change poses a grave and growing danger to our people" The quote i chose here is basically saying that the climate change is danger to the people. The climate change also will damage our security,our economies,and our planet. I think this is best because the conference it makes me wonder that the leadership of the world know the problem of this,so they just have a conference about the climate change,so they try to solve the climate problem,because it can be damage the world, so they try to decrease the pollution of the world ,some of their country cut the greenhouse gas emission, some of them cut the emission intensity. they do so hard to cut this,so i think it should have more conference like this, then they can make the world more better.

I read this article that the evoke site has provided in the womanswatch feed link they provided with a bunch of other links. This story really stood out for me. A woman is standing up for what she thinks is right despite ridicule and harsh opinions she is getting from her community. She used to practice female mutilation in thinking it was for the practice for her Islamic religion. Its like a female circumcision. "In the Afar region, women have traditionally been subjected to the most severe form of the practice, infibulation, usually between the ages of seven to nine. In some districts it is carried out within the first few days after birth. Infibulation involves the entire removal of the clitoris, the labia minora and labia majora, followed by sealing of the wound, which leaves only a small hole for the passage of urine and menses. Figures show that 63.2 per cent of women in the Afar region have undergone infibulation (some people are now practicing a less extreme form). The practice leaves the girls with severe pain and trauma, shock, haemorrhage, sepsis, urine retention, ulceration of the genital region, and urinary infection, among other complications. Obstruction and tearing during sexual intercourse or childbirth is common." She now stops due to the seriousness that it is very bad for woman to get such treatment and can affect their bodies negatively, along with the main reason it doesn't support her religion.

Im learning more about womens rights right now, and in particular im wondering about this: why do people continue to combat ancient traditions with "new age" materials. It caught my attention because removal of genitals is a tradition, and im curious as to why people are combating that. At the time, the question came as an affront to Dohra, who was herself one of the women in the community who did the cutting." I think this is a heavy impact because, when a mother sees her daughter scared and worried, that mother would do anything to protect them. It makes me wonder where our society is heading in the future if we continue to abandon ancient traditions

I'm learning more about racism right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is are people being racist even to the president? I was researching this question online, and this news item caught my attention because this news item basically is about people bagan to criticize our president Obama. Here is the quote I found "His conclusion by using surveys is that most of us are racists, we just don't realize we are. He is absolutely amazed that the American people are criticizing our president. It seems inconceivable to him and others like him that many of us are upset at the direction Obama is attempting to lead our country." The quote I chose here is basically saying people are criticizing Obama. The level and tone of the dissent against Obama is more primal and vicious than any leveled at Bush, and for far less reason that people had to criticize Bush. It has just been couple of month, people were criticizing Bush and hope to have a new president. All people vote for Obama but now, why people are criticizing Obama too? I think this doesn't make sense because people are not satisfy with what the president were doing. I understand that being a president is hard. It also takes time to rule a country and bring the economy back. It's not a piece of cake.

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been danger flowers. I remember my Science teacher in third grade talking about it I was very young, but I didn't really understand it because I was very young. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that some flowers are very danger. From what I have heard, this is true. Some flowers are very danger and can harm you. For example, I heard that there is this specific flowers that can kill you if you touch it or eat it. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true. One thing that I know for sure is that some flowers are healthy and others are bad. Now I've studied my share of Environmental Science, and I believe that it's something that people should know just in case you don't know that some flowers are danger. Personally, it's funny to me how flowers that are mainly red are the ones who are poisen. This was immportant in the past because, back then there was many people dieing for strange reasons due to poisen flowers. What I know about this topic is that you should be very careful with kids because kids are the ones that usually pick flowers and sometimes end up eating it. The flower is the reproductive structure of angiosperms or flowering plants. Compared to the reproductive structures of other plants, the flower is unique in several ways. The Story of Sam He plays the saxophone and is in his school's jazz band. He is a senior in high school and is about to graduate. He is here from Mexico and immigrated here when he was 5 years old. His visa expired and his father did not reapply for one. "I was raised an American." He did not get in to college because of his legal status. Michelle is his girlfriend, she plays the piano. His family wanted him to keep a low key because they were afraid of what would happen. Every Sunday morning, his family gets together to play together. His mom sings, brother plays the drums, sister plays the bass, and his father is a pastor. He graduates high school in Indiana and his dream is to go to Indiana University, but he applied too late and issues arose. He did not qualify for financial aid because he is undocumented. His father tries to push him to find a job in the summer since school is about to start in 2 months. He cannot pay for tuition, cannot commute to college because he doesn't have a driver's license, and can't work on the mark. "I can't go very far." "I'm not sure what my future is..."

Right now we are listening to a podcast. The podcaster is talking about himself. The podcast is about a guy who is undocumented and its his struggle in college. One quote that stood out for me was "whole family plays music on the stage." This stood out for me because it shows that he has a close family and they are there for each other. Another quote that stood out for me was " The whole college proses was very frustrating" I understand him because I am also going through this college proses and it is very confusing at times. Also stressful because everything has to be right. I admire Sam because With all the obstetrical in his life he still going to college and getting an education. It is great that his family is supporting him.

Sam's parents did not teach him his indigenous culture/language. They possibly thought that by not teaching him Spanish it'd become easier for him to assimilate to the American culture, but by doing so I feel like it cost him a part of his identity. What if Sam get's deported, he won't be able to survive in an environment that he's not familiar too. His own father acknowledges his sons capability to adjust in born country.

I have been learning about women's rights at the moment. I actually stumbled on this article an article similar to this one before hand. This article was a previous one to the one I bookmarked before. I have been wondering though...What about the non believers?....I mean there are always people who don't believe the same thing as you and will discourage you from reaching your goals. "The exchange with my friends in the YICC has made me understand that we are all in a similar situation and that this cannot continue." " The quote I chose here kind of tells me about the people who disapprove of women's rights...even if they are women themselves. It's really interesting to see someone discourage something like that. I mean they're going to benefit from it too...so I don't get it kind of. I guess they just want things back to being what it usually was. I love it though how the girl in this article isn't going to listen to what her mom is disapproving and is following what she believes in. I think this is important for us, young people to do...since we are the future...

I was researching this question online, and this article caught my attention because it talks how women are being abuse around the world. The quote i chose here is basically saying that at a very young age they are being abuse. I think this is wrong because everyone should have freedom. It makes me wonder if everyone is like this around the world. Domestic violence is a crime and that is wrong. The people who actually does this should put in jail.

I'm learning more about Chocolate right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is what are different kinds of Chocolates? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it has this picture of Chocolates. The title is called Hot Chocolates: Dark Desires. This source was interesting because it explains you what different kinds of Chocolates there are. And what flavors it is. This text explains what this Chocolate has that people drink. The quote that I chose here is basically talking about what people do to make this chocolate. And the percent. It tells you what is made of and the process of doing this. I think this is smart because it's very surprising. It make me wonder if I do Chocolate how would it be. Am I going to make it right with the directions this web explains. I feel that Chocolate is something that is very good to eat and that probably many people like it.

I was reasearching online and this news article caught my attention because, it is basically saying that chocolate is a sexual food. There was a study shown that proves it. Women who eat chocolate daily have better pleasure and desire while they are having sex. I think this is interesting because, i heard this on television and i wondered if this was actually true. I wonder what other foods make you have more pleasure when having sex. I think that chocolate is tasty and this might be the reason why mostly women eating i or eat it so often.
