I'm learning something more about Racism right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is why girls get last to eat in a family? I was researching is question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it's about women and girls always get last to eat in the family. ""We girls and our mothers eat last, after my four brothers, cousin and our fathers have finished. Sometimes there is almost nothing left to eat - but we are used to this," Nasreena Bibi, 12, from northwestern Pakistan's Bajaur tribal agency, told IRIN. " The quote I chose here is basically saying that girls and women don't have right to sit with men and eat with them together. They always get to eat last just because they are women and girls. I think that's unfair because women have the same power and right as men.

      basic information about global warming.
  • However, warming is expected to continue beyond 2100 even if emissions stop, because of the large heat capacity of the oceans and the long lifetime of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

American's belief of global warming sinking - below 50% for the first time in... - 1 views

  •
I am learning more about global warming right now, and in particular what I'm wonder about is what caused global warming? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it is about global warming and I know that emissions no longer cause global warming by reading this blog post. "According to the survey, roughly a third of the people who believe in global warming think it is due to natural causes, rather than manmade causes such as industrial emissions. As a result, the number who say that global warming is caused by humans has dropped from 54 percent last summer to 45 percent now." The quote I chose here is basically saying that global warming is causing by natural causes but I don't think so. I think people cause global warming too. They kill trees and pour waste water into ocean and rivers. I think this is impressed because it makes me wonder will the percentage of global warming and pollution be higher next year?

"The survey assigned a "Health Score" based on snack and on-board food service offerings, airline cooperation, comments, ratings, cost, calories, and exercise equivalents. " The quote I chose here is basically saying that by reading over the survey, we know that which airline has the best food in the airplane.

Mapping Main Street » A Collaborative Documentary Media Project - 2 views

What I noticed most about " Steam Buns 'R' Us" http://www.mappingmainstreet.org/#/route=8818_6367_1&city=8818&image=6367&nav=pathview was steam buns are delicious. There are tons of stream buns everywhere in Flushing Main Street of New York. When Melissa said," But we go there for the food." I was thinking that there are so many Asian food in Flushing. I am living in Flushing so I know well that there are tons of food in Flushing. I think this is great because whenever I feel hungry, I can always get food from Main Street. Another part that I agree was" what is inside of the steam bun?" I was thinking of the samething because I love to eat steam buns but I never think is the steam bun really clean? I strongly agree that homemade steam bun is better than we buy outside. We know that what is inside and we can eat them without worrying about anything. Everything that is homemade is always cleaner than the food outside because we can't see how the food is done in outside. I want to hear more about the food from Flushing Main Street.

Central Valley Communists: Racism and Capitalism: A Poem from comrade Matt - 0 views

I'm learning more about racism right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is how the people treat each other. I was researching this question online, and this poem caught my attention because It tells how people treat African Americans. The title of the poem is called "Racism and Capitalism." Here is the quote I chose "We are the people And you cannot lift a finger for the immigrants Without the courage to raise your fist In defense of all of us And you cannot solve black poverty Without solving all poverty." The quote I chose here is basically saying African Americans are not going to be equal like normal human unless they fight with their individual rights. I think this is not right because people used to treat African American like slaves. African American don't have rights in everywhere. When the rich kids passed by the cities, they were told to be careful with their wallet. It makes me wonder that we, as human being, why there are difference between people? Are we equal to each other?

Racism and violence - Heber Springs, AR - The Sun-Times - 0 views

I'm learning more about racism right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is are people being racist even to the president? I was researching this question online, and this news item caught my attention because this news item basically is about people bagan to criticize our president Obama. Here is the quote I found "His conclusion by using surveys is that most of us are racists, we just don't realize we are. He is absolutely amazed that the American people are criticizing our president. It seems inconceivable to him and others like him that many of us are upset at the direction Obama is attempting to lead our country." The quote I chose here is basically saying people are criticizing Obama. The level and tone of the dissent against Obama is more primal and vicious than any leveled at Bush, and for far less reason that people had to criticize Bush. It has just been couple of month, people were criticizing Bush and hope to have a new president. All people vote for Obama but now, why people are criticizing Obama too? I think this doesn't make sense because people are not satisfy with what the president were doing. I understand that being a president is hard. It also takes time to rule a country and bring the economy back. It's not a piece of cake.

I'm learning more about racism right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is how can we stop racism? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it says how serious problem racism can cause. Here is the quote I found "We have all been a little racist once in a while, and it's easy to call a certain culture names. But we should not judge a certain nationality or colour with just one statement. " The quote I chose here is basically saying that Racism hurts people. It creates conflict and even wars in our world. It tears our world apart. So we can't judge people with thier race. I think this is absolutely right because I think there will be world peace if we can stop racism. there are many arguement that start with racism. It really needs to stop.

I'm learning about swine flu right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is how far does swine flu spread? I was researching this question online, and this news item caught my attention because it tells me how far does the swine flu spread and how many people die from the flu. Here is the quote I found from the news. "The study found that of the 113 women and 55 men admitted to an intensive care unit between April and August, the mean age was 32. Overall, 29 people (17 per cent) died - most within the first 14 days after becoming critically sick. Twenty-one (72 per cent) of those who died were female." The quote I chose here is basically saying that the average of people who has swine flu were 32. I think this is ridiculous because people can be die from 14 days. It makes me wonder if anyone who has the flu will all be dead in 14 days?
