    This is a detailed article about lucid dreaming and how fun it is for a person to experience it. Being able to lucid dream is like entering another dimension where weird is normal and life is extraordinary. I've never actually experienced lucid dreaming, but what I do know that Lucid dreaming is one of the funnest experiences a person can enjoy. The article states,"You can open your own doorway to some amazing experiences by learning and mastering the practice of Lucid Dreaming. Imagine if you will, having the ability to meet and interact with famous people, taking fantastic sci-fi adventures, visiting galaxies far away, creating and manipulating fantasy worlds and touring them or ruling them, and even finally having your dream job or hobby without all the work or mess to get there! You can even meet lost loved ones or distant relatives since anything is possible with your lucid dreaming imagination!" How wonderful will it be to be able to do all of those stuff? You know how sometimes when your mother forces you to go to sleep but you don't want to because you want to finish playing a video game or finish chatting with your favorite person? Some people don't enjoy sleeping because they believe that sleeping is a waste of time. However, if those people actually knew how it felt to be lucid dreaming, wouldn't they have the urge to go to sleep every night? It will be like an adventure waiting for you...Some people may be unhappy with their lives, but with the help of lucid dreaming, anything you want is possible !       There are many games similar to this.. such as maple story, flyff, ragnorak... its nothing new. The only thing good about WoW is the graphics and the fact that they update the game every single week. I'm rather tired of kinds of games because all you do is level and fight. It got pretty boring to me.

      This does sound like Sims, however it is more fantasy. I guess it's what someone wants to get out of the game. I think that the idea of going on hunts and the whole monsters and dragons thing makes it very different than Sims.

  • The injuries just kept coming all day long—head injuries, people with multiple broken legs, people catatonic who couldn’t speak. Everybody is asking for medicine. You know, we don’t have basic—we don’t have Advil. We didn’t have gauze. We don’t have hydrogen peroxide. Like, it was one nurse and me, who happened to be a guest at this hotel because my wife is doing HIV work in the country. I happened to be there to help this nurse, but I have no medical training, and I just had to do whatever he explained to me to do.

    After watching the video, I was utterly speechless. It's really sad to know that another country is in desperate help of need, especially when they weren't in a good state before.Having a massive earthquake hit a city that;s already in poverty is really devastating. The situation is almost similar to that of the tsunami that happened just a few years ago. Other countries are contributing by sending over aid and people to help revive the city and help the people. Most of the buildings have collapsed and many of the few buildings had cracks. It's very interesting to hear about different people who were visiting Haiti speak about their experience during the disaster. Over thousands of people in Haiti are currently homeless and injured. A person walking by would be able to witness bodies being crushed by concrete and bodies covered by a sheet of blanket laying on the floor. The country is now short in water supply, food, money,and many important factors. People are desperate for aid and money. I think it's great that other countries aren't just standing by and not doing anything. I hope in the future, they will be able to revive most of the damaged buildings and maybe the people there will find jobs and homes again.

    Kids do need to be heard more by adults. Some times children have better ideas and solutions then some adults. When kids go to there parents to help them with there math homework. Most of the time they don't understand and have to pay for a tooter. If this is the case dose this mean children are able to comprehend situations better than adults. By being able to salve and understand problems faster and easier.

    Well we listened to Adora Svitak who says adults should learn from kids as much as kids learn from adults. I have to say that's very true. My experience with adults is that they always say that they are right, always doing stuff for our own good...I don't think that's really true. My parents always say what I'm allowed to or not to do. It's not like in ever irrational event happens, I want to do. No, that's really not it. I obviously have weighted the consequences and chose not to do something or to do something. This classroom for an example is definitely of the lack of trust and that adults should listen to kids once in a while. A lot of us in this tell our teacher that we think whats up have no real.....effect on our education. It's not like we're lazy (sometimes we are, but not this), but we just don't get the purpose of it. I think that this is a great clip for adults to watch. I do wonder though, how many of the adults there actually took that session to heart. I wonder how many of them turned and just commented that was adorable or something? I get that sometimes when I tried to make a valid point...

She believes that instead of building games that are very different from the reality, she wants to build reality within the games.She starts off by telling the history of game and the father of games, herotitus. She saids that the core focus in game play is to engage yourself within the system. She also states that she believes that people play games because when they're playing a game, they're not suffering. I think this is true because people feel happy when they play a game that they like. Whenever I'm bored and unhappy, I go to my computer and start playing one of my favorite games. I really like the examples that she gives. One of the examples is world of warcraft. Tons of people play this game and wish that it were to become true because people online are so much more cooperative than people in reality. Before watching this video, I never thought about this kind of stuff before. I've always wondered what kinds of new games they would create since games are starting to become boring. I think that there should be more reality games instead of make believes so that we can learn from those games to live a better life. We can treat those games as personal trainers. I think that it would benefit many people because because there is a high percentage attraction towards games.

    Well right know, we are learning about gaming. I never really thought about the new technology that's going to be produce for gaming since I always really just thought about the games. I do wonder though what kind of technology would be produced. I hope it's pretty cool though like one of those future movies excluding the part where it takes over humans....I rather not be running around with little robots chasing me. Yeah, that really doesn't sound to appealing "This is ancient dice from the kingdom Lydia where Turkey is today. They used knuckle bones like from sheep to make dice." I find the dice very interesting. I really can't imagine the dice being formed from knuckle bones. I wonder how they do it. I'm going to guess that they used fire and pressure to form it? Not really sure, it's probably going to be similar to that I guess. "A future forecast: 2013. We increasingly live our real lives inside of massively multiplayer games." I find that pretty interesting for the fact of its 2010 and it kind of like that now. I mean people are playing massively multiplayer games even today. Mostly online.     Recently gaming has been coming up everywhere! I was listening to Jay Rosen and Dave Winer's podcast, "Rebooting the News." Rosen reported on his panel at South by Southwest. He said that at the end he twittered about how interested he had become about looking at the intersection of gaming and journalism. Rosen also mentioned that they had set up a webset for their Future of Context panel. I went looking and I found a post about gaming and journalism that includes these paragraphs about how gaming might bring context into journalism. "The way I envision it is to create some sort of social gaming experience that fills in the gaps. Want to fill the audience in on why health care costs so much? Why not an audience scavenger hunt that takes them through insurance companies, doctors, service providers, employers who pay premiums, and such? Or why not a Farmville type of game run in a hospital where users have to try and actually bend the cost curve themselves lest they go bankrupt, a situation that allows them to experiment with different health care systems so they can see the cause and effect of the choices we make as a society (in terms of patient coverage, costs, profits, etc? If Mafia Wars on Facebook can take off, surely this could. And how do they make these choices along the way? With blasts of information, ideally pulled from well reported news stories, that the user can actually apply to the situation in a way that increases both recall and understanding." Littau is presenting his vision here, and what a fvision it is. I can totally imagine playing a game in place of reading an article about health care. Once again, just when I thought I understood what gaming is, I see that there is more to learn. This is exciting!

    I've been learning more about food security right now and in particular what I'm wondering about is: how the future of food supply will look like. I was researching this question online and this article caught my attention because of the title, "The fight over the future of food." I can't seem to imagine what the world will look like in a few years, not even in like a hundred years. \n\n"A combination of the food crisis and the global economic downturn has catapulted the number of hungry people in the world to more than 1 billion. The United Nations says world food output must grow by 70 percent over the next four decades to feed a projected extra 2.3 billion people by 2050."\n\nThe quote I chose here is basically saying that if not much is done, there won't be enough food for the growing population by 2050. There has to be a 70% increase of stable food production worldwide to help feed everyone. This is pretty intense because thinking ahead, 2050 is only 40 years away and I'll be like 57 years old by then. What will happen to me if there isn't enough food to feed me and my family? How will I react?\n\n I think this is an important issue for everyone to pay attention to because it affects everyone globally. Even though there are some actions being taken currently to fight the issue of food security and world hunger, it's not enough. There are too many factors that contribute to people not wanting to help out. I think it's mainly because of money. Because many countries are still in a recession, it's difficult for people to dig into their pockets to donate and help the cause. It's sad and unfortunate, but it's true.

    My current inquiry question is about the legendary sea monster named Lochness. This podcast that I'm listening right now is about a discovery of an ancient long-necked creature named Dinosuffulosaurus,that inhabited the seats of what is now southeast China. The physical features of this creature looks strikingly similar to that of Loch Ness. The interviewer describes this creature as," Imagine an egg, a little bit squashed that is about 3 feet long. And on the front end of that, stick a neck that is about 5 feet long and about 3 inches in diameter. On the end of that put a head that is about 5 inches long. It's a very elongated neck head relative to the size of the body. The back end would've been a tail too but we don't know how big that was because it's not on this fossil." He had also compared the creatures neck to a Giraffes, however it's neck is more slender and long. He comes from a family of the Plesiosaur. What's most interesting is that the creature is not a dinosaur and is often mistakened as on. It is actually a marine reptile. They go on talking about the reptile's neck and what it's use was for. Unlike other reptiles/dinosaurs that possessed a long neck, Dinosuffollosaurus' neck was stiff. They say that reason for its long neck was to deceive their preys to think that they weren't as big as they were until it was too late. This method of feeding is called suction feeding, which is commonly used by many of the sea animals, such as fishes. The creature's fossil is currently in China and is placed there for further

Almost more than half of the countries on the continent is 35% or more affected. There are also places in Europe, Asia, South America, and some places in North America that have hunger.     Right now, I'm learning about Women's Rights in different countries. I actually don't know a place from the top of my head that doesn't have equality for women. It makes me think how would my life be different today, if I was in one of those countries with no equality at all for women. I really think it would be really horrible and I can't imagine not having equality. It's like a nightmare almost... "The female football players in Bamyan have various plans for the future, from teacher to doctor, translator to painter. Once she completes her education, for example, Shekeba plans to become a police officer - "because so far, the policemen in Bamyan are not helping women when it is needed," she explains. " The quote I chose here is basically saying that Afghanistan doesn't have equality for women. The young girl here who says that women are not being helped by policemen is really interesting. I never thought they wouldn't...since police are suppose to...help everyone. I guess it just shows that women's equality is really important. I hope that women's rights is established in that country and others. I would take effort and it's little girls like that who dream to become something for the benefit of others that issues like this will be solved.

    I'm learning more about Girls/ Womens empowerment right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about this is how can you empower women or girls. I was researching this question online i came across this article. It caught my attention because the title is 'Promoting girls' empowerment through sport in Afghanistan.' It caught my attention because the title pretty much speaks for it's self. Girls can in fact be empowered through sports! This sparked my interest and so i began reading it. "Participation in sport is a critical part of any child's physical and social development, especially for girls. Sport can help to improve their self-esteem and self-awareness," says Dr. Atiqullah Amiri of UNICEF's Outpost Bamyan. "Sport teaches integrity and self-management by setting objective standards that girls can work to achieve." The quote I chose here is basically saying that sports can be a very big part of someones life. Sports can improve your overall self in many different ways. The ways in which are spoke about here is helping girls. It can improve their self-esteem and self-awareness, self-management and i believe it can build up great skills that can be put to use in everyday lives. Skills like team work, responsibility and so on. I think this is an very important fact. Sports can in fact help girls. It makes me wonder how powerful something can be, and how it can change something or someone like a sport. Like what is spoken about in this article.
