This ad is really cool however if people who did not know what Orange did, it would be confusing and not get much across. In my opinion this is an awesome design just doesn't get everything across that it needs to.
Typography,
he art of arranging type, type design and modifying type glyphs, is often considered as a major part of promotional material and marketing.
The flow of this ad really comes through in the type of font that it was created in. The script makes it flow with the reader as they read the word efficiency
Typography, the art of arranging type, type design and modifying type glyphs, is often considered as a major part of promotional material and marketing. If you use typography properly, you can not meaningfully convey the message, but also strengthen the brand of your company.
One designer's commentary on design and explanation of his design processes. I like this site because it gives explanations of the design process with good visual examples as well as offers pointers on things to avoid when designing. This particular article has a good explanation of the process of copywriting. It's cool to see the designer's process - from brainstorm, to thumbnails, to final published product - alongside his explanation of it.
I am a little partial this one particularly because of the fact that we were just asked to pick out our favorite blog site and what we liked about it etc ect.. It talks about where the eyes should be drawn to and how using contrast in a web page or any design can add value to it. It discusses how to use colors appropriately and how to make the text pop out. It also points out that contrast is a tool for accomplishing hierarchy.
This website I found was good at connecting one of the main ideas in chapter one about knowing your audience and asking yourself whats in it for the reader/consumer
I thought this website exemplified what chapter one of Basics Of Design was talking about, in terms of keeping design simple and appealing to the correct audience. The business cards are simple but creative way to promote one's business in the specific field of work they are in. They are very aware of what audience they are trying to speak to.

I really enjoyed this website for a couple different reasons. First of all, the design process is similar to that in the book, but yet it has a different approach because it is for an architectural piece, instead of a web site or banner for example. I also enjoyed it because it is not only a list of the concepts for the designer process, but it is also the steps that this particular architectural design teams uses and wants to share with their customers. This shows those customers that they have a structured plan and as a customer you can know where you are in the time line of your design and build process. Although the design process is not exactly the same as the book, it uses the same concepts from beginning with a blank page and sketching out ideas, to ending with details helping to make the project personal to the audience.
I thought this was uplifting to the chapter I just read. This little editorial states that all the concepts like design and critical thinking in writing can really help you succeed in any industry and the importance of it. It talks about putting a writing component in the SAT and the author just stresses how important planning and design writing can be for a persons' future. I thought it was just kinda neat to read.
